I began running through a crowd of people, I knew we were being attacked, but I didn’t know where to go.
My sword turned back into a little rock with a horrible screech sound. I tried to pick up Fire Face, who ran as quick as his little feet could go without being trampled, but as I scooped him up he bit hard into my hand, his teeth were hot. I let out a yelp and dropped him, and he ran the away in the opposite direction I was headed.
This way, then that way, and that way twice, and that way again, and then the same, but BACKWARDS!
Fennin
Fennin ran into a bloodied Tren as he tried to get out of the smoke.
“Tren! What happened?”
“I’m n-not sure, my Prince. They just suddenly got in, b-but how?” Fennin looked nervous.
“I have to go Tren, how bad are you hurt?” Tren smiled, Fennin had always been concerned about his people.
“Only some cuts. I stole one of the swords the red eyed one forged yesterday and showed you. It was still lying around. I can stay here with the guests.” Fennin knew Tren to be honest, he could leave his friend with a good conscience.
“Thank you.” Fennin dashed off full-tilt, dodging blows from Gilganing soldiers. He spend down the hallways, running down sets of stairs leading to the forge. He grabbed a sword there and shut the door, locking it from the inside. If his people needed swords, there were ones Nahim had left on the training grounds.
Stepping over to one side of the forge, Fennin opened a hidden door, leading to a thin staircase leading both up and down. Ducking his head low for the ceiling, Fennin dashed in and the secret door closed behind him. He ran up the spiraling stairs, up and up not stopping at any of the doors he saw as he went. His breathing grew heavy, and his brow began to sweat, but on he went.
He knew if he stopped, he could doom the entire palace.
