Nobody seemed to be getting a rope. Kate sighed, reaching for a gemstone at her belt. She crushed it. A glowing red string emerged, expanding. An Arclash. Practically unbreakable, and if it was broken, it would explode. It would, however, eventually dissipate.
Kate caught it in her hand and swung it towards Nahim. It coiled around his sword arm and fused to itself, preventing him from shaking it off.
Ellis glanced at her in shock.
What? You wanted a rope.

Something red grabbed his sword arm, he couldn’t move it. He stared at Kate who had sent it his way, his eyes almost a glow like lava. He had one free hand, and he could use it. He drew his gun before they could stop him.
“Don’t move or I shoot. Get this thing off my arm, now.” His voice grew menacing.

Oops, thought Kate. It seemed she had just made things worse.
Kate pulled on the Arclash, throwing Nahim off balance so he couldn’t shoot anyone. Ellis ran in and grabbed Nahim’s free hand, trying to wrestle the gun away.

Kate pulled on the red rope, causing Nahim to loose balance. Ellis grabbed his hand, wrestling for the gungedal. Nahim’s vision blurred, but he kicked Ellis in the shin with his heavy boot.
