I rarely talk to teens older than me by more than one and a half years (my exception being one person) and adults rarely unless they approach me, and I almost stutter and shake if someone approaches me and asks questions if they’re older and I don’t expect it.

I walked as quick and quiet as I could through the hall and took my seat in an empty corner. I felt relieved that no one paid attention to me, I still didn’t like any of these people, nor did I trust them. I carefully took my heavy backpack off my shoulders placed it on my lap. I opened the bag and a little furry head popped out.
“Hey Fire Face.” I said quietly to my little friend.
I panicked when Fire Face let out a loud, excited squeak.
“Hush!” I whispered loudly. I figured some in the group knew of my pet, he was loud and often ran away from me despite my effort to keep him hidden.
The little squeak caused a small spark to come from Fire Face’s throat, which then caught his whisker on fire.
I put it out, but I knew he was going to be a disruption later on. I really hoped my fire-breathing kitten would aid us on the upcoming mission, but not if he kept setting himself on fire.

Nahim started when he heard an odd noise, like that of a squeak. Turning his head, he saw a woman, with a large backpack on her lap and frizzy (frizzy, right?) dark hair. Walking over to her, he hoped she wouldn’t freak out at his red eyes.
“Amon. I’m sorry, I don’t believe I’ve seen you before. My name is Lord Nahim Nayhelm. You are…”
Btw, Nahim’s name is pronounced nay-him
