Jonas forgot three important characters you need to know, Fennin, Queen Silvae, and King Alten.
Queen Silvae has pale Lillening skin, pastel purple eyes with the same color hair, has a bright hummingbird always with her.
King Alten in the king of Lillen, and he’s right now on his death bed.
Fennin is prince of Lillen, and has orange eyes with dark hair. Muscular (for a Lillening) build.
You will meet another character named Tren later.

Ugh. Nahim’s head still hadn’t forgotten his epic duel with Zahlin, nor when he got knocked out. Opening his eyes in the dim light of morning, Nahim touched his sword, making sure it still hung on his belt. Shaking off sleep and the memory of the dream he had awaken from, he dangled his feet over the side of the bunk, fingering his sword.
Nahim removed his helmet and rubbed his stiff neck above his neckband, before removing his neckband.
“I need to stop sleeping with my helmet on.” He rubbed the odd-shaped scar over his voicebox. “And my head needs to stop aching all the time.” Zahlin grinned from where he lay awake.
“That was a good duel.”
“Yeah, we should spar sometime.”
“Prepare to almost die again.”
My brain just died, but I’ll post in anyways.

As Ellis sat down to breakfast, he thought hard about who to assign to train together. He had already decided that he would continue working with Ottoline, and he had decided to put Kaine with Nahim–Kaine was a decent fighter as it was, so it made sense to put him with someone good.
Zahlin was the tricky one.
Ellis thought he would feel guilty no matter who he paired with Zahlin. In the end, he decided to put Hedieh with him–she seemed the most likely to be able to stand up to him. (He was still going to keep an eye on Zahlin, though.)
He didn’t know any of them very well, which made it harder to figure out.
In the end he decided on the following:
He would train Ottoline.
Nahim would train Kaine.
Kate would train Kari.
Zahlin would train Hedieh.
Nora would train Amir.
And Snake would train Hugo.
Having worked everything out, he walked over to report his decision to Fennin
