there’s a character I know who has one white eye from an injury, and when I saw a fan art depiction of him if he were in a western AU, I thought “hey, he fits the description of cotton eye Joe!”

Ok I have a confession to make.
I had no idea it was called cotton-eyed Joe.
I’ve literally been confused about the name for probably seven or eight years.
I always thought it was “catnai” joe or something like that lol.
I don’t know how, I guess I never saw it in writing before….
It’s kind of embarrassing that I didn’t know that but it’s also hilarious that it’s taken me this long to figure it out lol.
