also i forgot to put my character’s personality so here:
-bro is a TOTAL thrill seeker, will chuck himself off a building for the sheer fun of it
-easily flustered, surprisingly. Not like his more collected brother.
-has a family he’ll do literally anything to protect
-can break your neck as easily as breathing. He’s freakishly strong. Fortunately he prefers killing robots over living creatures.

also thanks! I don’t actually even know where his name came from, I saw someone else suggest something similar on the internet for a similar character, so I was like “if I tweak the spelling a little, I can use this for my own character.”
it was just a random indonesian word or something like that, idk lol
in-universe it’s a combination of two words in his species’ ancient language and means something very specific to his character, but I’ll leave that for if you want to ask a question about it.

Cosmo leads you into his family’s kitchen. It is an old kitchen, more than a hundred years old. The wood floors are covered in thick, faded carpets, and the countertops are tiled with a dark red material, jutting out from the stove and counters. Books and jars of various preserved objects sit around the window. Something fizzles in the oven.
Cosmo sits on a stool across from you. He has a pointed nose and chin, and a face that catches shadows easily. His eyes have a natural sad tilt to them. But he grins, and it is clear he doesn’t mind chatting.
What sort of music does your character listen to?
“I like rock. Folk rock. Choral music is my favorite though because it’s fun to blast on the stereo.”
What would happen if the character became aware they were, well, a character?
[I imagine he would slowly lose grasp on reality and fall into endless hallucination and emotional upheaval. But I’m not going to put the innocent little guy through that. :p]
What sort of sports does your character like?
“Sometimes I watch rugby. Lots of people like rugby around here.”
What would it look like if your character drew themselves?
“I’m not good at drawing realistically. It might look really exaggerated and… kind of fairy tale? I don’t know. I’ve never thought about drawing myself before.”
Has your character broken any bones?
He grins, his whole body off-kilter as he holds his arm out.
“Fell off the roof. I broke my right radius bone. Luckily it wasn’t the distal radius. I couldn’t stop worrying about my wrist. Imagine your wrist not healing properly and going stiff sometimes…” He sounds honestly disturbed at the thought. “But Merlin wanted to stick rhinestones on the cast with a hot glue gun. That was fun.”
What’s your character’s opinion on animals?
“That’s over a million species to talk about. We’ll be here all day if you want a definitive opinion.”
if your character could be another species (sentient/intelligent, or just an animal) what would it be?
“The tardigrade. That’s what I want to be.
“I mean – think about it. They’re microscopic and they can survive extreme temperatures, radiation… even the vacuum of space.
“You know how there are animal kingdoms, and then category after category, all the way down to individual species?” He motions with his hands, as if touching the rungs of a ladder. “The next category under kingdom is phylum. There are less than forty recognized phyla in the whole world. Tardigrades have their own phylum.
“I want to be small and witness microbial intelligence in action. It would be pretty sick.”
What’s your character’s biggest regret?
He smiles but averts his gaze, not clearly communicating. “I… I don’t know. I’m only a kid. Regrets come later.”
What’s their favorite color?
“Chocolate brown.”
Favorite food?
“Meatloaf on buttered bread. I have a homemade starter and it’s really good.”
Favorite thing to do when bored?
He messes around with the hem of his patchwork jacket. It takes him a second to answer. “I make miniatures. I’m not technically skilled or anything – it’s just a good way to reuse stuff in my pockets. Bottle caps and rocks. All that.”

Yay!! Thanks! If my character sounds awkward, it’s probably because my brain did the freezy-thing and I can’t think of a reply lol.
I’ll add a character I haven’t done too much with yet. His name is Leander, and he’s from the fantasy world in my WIP. He’s called an En’Garun (unless I changed the word in my story, because I change words often), which is a type of magic person (I’m not sure if I should further elaborate). They’re all green, and Leander is a slightly obnoxious shade of light green. He wears a basic tunic and brown cargo pants and he usually lacks shoes. I’m not entirely sure of his personality yet.

Sennin looks around at the room he’s in, then at you. He quickly realizes you are not a threat.
What is the most important thing to know when I first meet you?
“I can kill a human easily if I so choose to. Betray my trust and you’ll feel my claws.” He flexes said claws on one hand for emphasis. “Not that I think you’ll wanna hurt me.”
Where do you live?
“Staten. My homeworld. I was born there, but my mother fled when the cities were destroyed and took me with her. Not many of my kind made it out, but the ones that did came together, and we’ve recently returned and rebuilt our homes.”
Do you have a job? How did you get into it?
“Right now, I’m captain of the guards protecting our rulers. Before, I worked for a company that tasked me with huntin’ robotic enemies built by a rival. Both of these jobs were thanks to my stepfather, Tenko. He introduced me to my team.”
What do you do when you need a break from life? Any hobbies?
”Rock climbin’, hang-glidin’, fightin’ rogue animals—if it’s thrillin’ and out in nature, I’ll take it.”
What makes you smile no matter how you feel?
“My wife. Her name’s Nellie. We met on the battlefield—she was my team’s overseer. I helped her escape her mother’s cruel grip and taught her how to fight, and in return she helped me with….my own problems, and saved my life when the rest of my team was killed in a skirmish.”
Do you live with anyone?
“We’ve got five children. My brother and his family are a planet away now, but he lived with us for a short while, too.”
What is one thing you always carry with you?
He fidgets with the crocodile tooth he has around his neck. “This. I carved my parents’ names on it to help me remember who taught me what I know.”
What do you notice first about a person?
“Their movements as they notice me. Are they confident? Scared? Sneaky? Are they tryin’ to trick me into trustin’ them, or maybe they’re intimidated by my size?”

His gives you an incredulous look, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth in disbelieving amusement. “Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”
