XD actually that’s it lol. I might do a couple more in the time between now and uh… idk when I get published? I expect that to be round about 7 years lol… so yeah. I’ll keep posting art every now and then but I only put so much effort into this because it was a school assignment and I probably won’t have any more soon 😂

soooooo….the scene isn’t finished (planning on sharing it once it is tho!!! 😀 <3) but I wrote this part in it, and ngl y’all…I love it, like, a lot XD

TRIGGER WARNING: Light torture in the form of whipping

“Rebellion comes with a price, Reverend.” Greg spat out the word ‘Reverend’.

Another whip slice ripped through Adrian’s back, marking its place with the others. Crimson blood trailed down his bare back in streams.

“You should have listened to your family. They warned you against risking your life to save stupid slaves.”

Adrian looked up; green eyes sparkled with determination, with courage. Loose brown curls flopped down onto his forehead, blocking his vision. “What is wiser; obeying God or obeying men?”

Greg clicked his tongue with distaste. “A nonsensical statement, Roberts. Obeying the law is obeying God. I go to church, Reverend. I give my hard-earned money to the missions of the church.”

Yet he traded slaves. Yet he harmed people who got in his way. Yet he disregarded the fact that everyone, no matter how they looked, no matter how they acted, was made in the image of God.

Scripture from the book of Matthew rested on his tongue. “‘Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness.’”
