@writefury — Cool! Think you could find the source again?

@writefury — I sent the image over to Laurel, and she loves it! She thinks it’d look great on a mug too. Here’s her question: is the illustration yours or is it copyrighted or what? If it’s copyrighted, we may have to make some changes before we can put it up in the store (‘cuz it’s a brilliant graphic!)– but you could totally work with Laurel on it. 🙂

What they said @writefury. 🙂
And I love this— it’s a classic example of everything I cannot do. It’s simple but powerful, cute but touching, and above all lean and to the point. Excellent work!

@writefury This was amazing!!! The story was so personal and was told in a way that I just wanted to cry for the poor little sailboat when he was abandoned. Never before have I wanted to cry for a sailboat. A first time for everything, I suppose.
There’s one thing that bugs me, as I read through it, the line:
Its adventurous sailing…

@writefury I would change a couple little things, but not much. The best thing about this poem is that it really personalizes the boat. *adds boat as friend on Facebook* Oh, and also the rhyme (I love rhyme).
Here are the little tweaks I would make:
And wood deck a sheen
Sounds strange. Decks are not sheen, they have a sheen.
As darker clouds…

O wow! @writefury That is really good. I really do like it. I’m not very good at poetry, but I would fix or change anything. *Other people might think differently. 😛 *

@kate-flournoy: Shhhhh. Don’t scare the children.
@writefury: *more eyebrow waggling* Mayhap. Let me ask the all powerful Graphic Designer/Store Manager Laurel Adams. 😀
As a general side note, teas of all kind are my jam. Hot coffee and I just didn’t work out. That being said, I eat a lot of coffee flavored things… they’re usually just…[Read more]

@bluejay I didn’t MEAN to fall off the horse. The nervous shock of the moment kinda knocked me off. I’ll do better next time. Yes, I’m all right, a few bruises is all. 🙂
@writefury I LOVE IT. Someone needs to put this on a tshirt.

@gretald I do like tea— really strong, dark tea, with just sweetener and no cream. 🙂

Don’t even try it, guys. I’m hopeless. I don’t even like coffee mom-style— a little bit of coffee with my cream and sugar.
@kate-flournoy and @christi-eaton Haha, don’t worry; I’ve seen worse. 😉 [And by the way, Kate, you can’t go wrong with a little bit of coffee and lots of milk and sugar.] My cousin doesn’t like chocolate! Do you all lik…[Read more]

@writefury I’ve read the first book and enjoyed it well enough. But our library doesn’t have the others and I didn’t feel like buying them. Have you seen the movie The Giver? I almost liked it better than the book; there was more of a conclusion.

@writefury Yes… I suppose we are a creepy bunch, but at least we aren’t ashamed of it right? *strikes power pose* And we shall stand proud of our distracted scatter-brained ways and our notebooks filled with notes from our creepering because we are not only creepers but we are WRITERS. *writer flag waves in background* (Do writers have a flag?…[Read more]

@writefury Perfect. My title is getting rather long. 🙂
~Historian of Pen, of the Eastern Drylands of Soggins, of the KeePers of the Realm.

Ivy Rose replied to the topic Knightings of the KeePers. in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 7 months ago
Historian of Pen reporting. (I like that title, by the way.) 🙂
One thing…there is a side of Washington that does not fit in the Soggins realm. More fitting for the Eastern hemisphere would “burnt to a crisp.” Any ideas of a name for the Eastern hemisphere in the realm of Soggins?
