@not-so-secret-secret-assassin
Well then, I’ll take back the cross out ‘cause most comedians probably could take a couple lessons from you.
No problem, I love giving anyone and everyone that Yoda quote (like. All. The. Time.) XD Anyway, that IS a dilemma, but sadly I can’t help you too much there. I haven’t been on KP for a while, (I try to stop…[Read more] -

@avacoulter I literally just watched Markiplier try aerial silks, haha. It looks really cool!

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin
That post you wrote is awesome! And is actually very helpful, (probably more so than several articles out there), so even though it was written for the awesome writer Elanor, I just wanted to say that it was very good and actually inspired me to write an escape scene for my current novel!

This scene is stacking up to be very interesting the more I hear about it! My favorite part of this (I know, I’m a cruel writer to characters) is that Kedja knows she can’t escape and that only Zlya will be able to make it out of the prison. This is great story-wise because most escape scenes get pretty much everyone out without a ton of…[Read more]

Hi, Koshka! I love this poem 😀 I visualized it being sung by a captive like you said it would be and think that that works wonderfully:) It felt wintery and mysterious and sad and hopeful. I especially loved the last stanza and how each line in it was its own yet completely tied together. So I think that’s beautiful.
Hmmm, the only t…[Read more] -

@annabelle Yess, plus with pen and paper it’s more transportable.
Wow, that’s a lot of siblings! Are you the oldest or…?

Lin replied to the topic Hello!! in the forum Start HERE 4 years, 2 months ago
@annabelle Oh, nice! I was homeschooled as well. And I still hand write a lot of things, for some reason.
It sounds like you guys make a good team! How many siblings do you have?

@avacoulter Sounds like maybe you’re up for a novellette or novella, haha.
What other things are you into?
-
Lin replied to the topic Hello!! in the forum Start HERE 4 years, 2 months ago
@annabelle Well, I am pretty old, so it matches up in proportion XD
Wow, does your whole family do writing-related activities?

@annabelle Nice, nice! I’ve been playing piano for almost thirteen years now, and my teacher assigns me classical music, but I like playing pretty songs I hear.
Do you have any other projects you’re working on, (or plan to work on) after Identity?
-
Lin replied to the topic Hello!! in the forum Start HERE 4 years, 2 months ago
@annabelle Heyy and welcome to the Kingdom! I’m Linyang, though most here call me Lin. Nice to meet you!
Identity sounds fascinating! Are you going to be self-publishing it?
I also play piano! How long have you been playing?

Lin replied to the topic Heyyy in the forum Start HERE 4 years, 2 months ago
@avacoulter I’ve written/am working on a ton of projects right now, short stories, web fiction, novels, novellas… I like short stories because they’re quick and you can have instant satisfaction of finishing them, but also I tend to only write short story beginnings and nothing else, which is annoying on my part, haha.

Lin replied to the topic Heyyy in the forum Start HERE 4 years, 2 months ago
@avacoulter Yeah, I agree, there is a balance to find.
Do you write a lot of short stories or have you just been working on this main project?

Oh, yes! I do know Joelle! Was she the one who told you about KP or was it the other way around? I highly recommend writing a story with her. Writing stories with someone is a very unique experience, and the stories often are twice as good as they would have been if you were writing by yourself as you can fill in for each other’s…[Read more]

@trahia-the-minstrel Hi!! I’m so sorry I’ve been dead on KP… *cries* Oh, my, I’ve really been ghosting the forum, eh? I’m so sorry! Please forgive me. I’m so busy lately that I just don’t have so much time for KP anymore. (Sorry in advance if I reply late to you ever again 😅)
Oooo, yes, I LOVE Zelda games!! Thanks for tagging me!

@avacoulter Nice, nice! I like watching where my characters take me (since I’m a pantser too) but I think I like writing the ending most. It’s very satisfying, and also kinda bittersweet.

@kathleenramm I wish I knew that typing was more efficient than handwriting.
Thanks to choices my 12 year old self made, I am still handwriting a certain story to this day.

What’s something you wish you knew when you first started writing?
Something I wish I knew when I first started writing was that the more I focus on characters, the easier it is to write an interesting plot.If I would have known this it would have saved me from a lot of headaches. Whenever I first started writing stories I would get so caught up…[Read more]
