@whalekeeper @ellette-giselle @highscribeofaetherium @grcr
thx
WHY HAVE YOU NOT BEEN POSTING YOUR ART!!!???
Because I’m gonna hate these drawings, and then they’ll be forever on here. Besides, they’re far from perfect.

My siblings and I listened to an audiobook of The Tale of Despereaux several years ago. Never watched the movie though. I liked it—although it has been fuel for my dislike of the word soup. I loved the rats. 🤭 We were going to make our dolls (or Legos, I can’t remember) act it out once… that was fun to imagine though we never follo…[Read more]

That’s me with War Horse. The book was told from the horse’s perspective and was very confusing and somewhat uninteresting because the horse sometimes had horse limitation and sometimes could think like a person. But the movie was amazing because you can see everything the horse is seeing.
I do like some fantasy. But…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle @whalekeeper Uncharacteristically for me, I liked the movie better than the book
That and Mary Poppins are the only movies I liked better than the book

I was interesting in Tale of Despareaux for the world building involving the government. I love tyrannical Government books, and my next story might have characters getting thrown into a pit if they don’t follow the rules. (just kidding…… maybe) but beyond that I didn’t really love the story. It was interesting th…[Read more]

I’m probably misunderstanding why you’re frustrated. Is it that both versions of Seb (new and old) feel wrong to write?
Maybe you could just treat him like a new character and play around a bit without worrying too much about getting him right? Idk

My characters have all had some level of personality shifts and/or complete backstory rewrites since I first put them in here. Especially my Inky characters. The magic system is changing almost by the hour lol. I think Dante is probably the only one who hasn’t changed.
So I won’t be bothered at all if you’re inconsistent. You don’t…[Read more]

What’s your reaction to the movie giving the jailor a happy ending when he died in the book?

🤣 Boring books!? Kate DiCamillo wrote the Mercy Watson series! They aren’t “boring”! 😂I will admit that I have seen several of Dicamillo’s book that caught my interest while browsing, but their descriptions seemed kinda pain filled, and I’m not particularly interested in more woe in my life.
Have you read Beverly, Right Here,…[Read more]

I love that book, one of my favorites when I read it. Never read the other ones though. Have you read it and which of her books have you read?
