My friends and I did Henna together! Her brother is a missonary and had just gotten back from the wedding of a girl from India. The girls of the village knew that he had sisters, and they gifted him a whole bunch of henna. We put on a girly movie and did the art from the inside of the first finger all the way up to the bend in the…[Read more]

Chase
Chase got up, leaving his soda can beside where he was sitting. He retrieved Felicity’s can, planning to throw it away in the proper place later. He sat back down again.
“L-like s-sun…sat?” Chase was quiet and still for a moment, before turning to look at Felicity. He had formed his eyes into a reflection of a bright sunset.…[Read more]

First off, funny forum signature.
Second, what are the ages of your characters? because in my experience, different ages respond differently to death. Children (under 10 maybe?) usually know that death exists, but aren’t very afraid of it because they don’t understand. Adults, especially people in their 20s, and 40s, for whatever…[Read more]

Celarent
Mateo didn’t even know what school was? Celarent sighed. “It’s where you learn stuff. If you want to get anywhere in life, you better figure that out.” He paused. “Oh, right. You aren’t going anywhere in life anyway.” Mateo ought to get expelled. Celarent hadn’t spent days forging paperwork just to attend class…[Read more]

I have a related question. I need help on several other character’s reactions to the fact that one will die, particularly her best friend and grandfather.

@elishavet-elroi
I love Grace Livingston Hill so much! My great grandmother had a beach house, and it was full of old romance novels. Her GLH books were what got me into romance.

I had several fanfics for the Boxcar Children when I was younger. The one actually had a coherent plot, which is more than I can say for most of my WIPs. XD

I have no idea. I read so many things as a child, and while I still love many of them, I’m not sure how much influence which ones have had on my writing. XD The Green Ember definitely influenced my first WIP though.

Sorry I took so long to respond here. I saw this when I was sick and forgot to get back to it. Anyway, I enjoyed that and don’t really have feedback beyond what others have said.

Hallie NO. I spent that whole scene with that sinking feeling that a character was about to do something stupid and she did. *sigh*
She felt petite next to him, although she had never been the tallest girl around at five feet four inches.
Antonio wasn’t that tall. Hallie guessed that he couldn’t be over five feet ten inches.
My dad is…[Read more]

Well I’m really, really excited about it! I already have money set aside for when it comes out. 🙃
But yeah, certainly trust God on the timing.
aw yay! I’m glad you saw it. Not many people replied so I wasn’t sure. The tags are also being super wonky.
