Celarent
Celarent’s hand froze inches from his knife. As he looked into the eyes of Mateo, inexplainable terror filled him. What was happening to him? He hadn’t been this scared since-well, it had been a while.
Then Mateo spoke. “How would we know if you are not one of them? You stay with us.”
Celarent willed his tre…[Read more]

Siblings are weird…one of my sisters made up this whole story at lunch about how she was the best sweeper ever, even better than Donald Trump, who loves sweeping and has an entire room full of crumbs that he sweeps for fun.

The dragon gives me so. Many. Questions. (How would a creature like that swallow? What happens when it has to yawn? Sneeze? Cough? Can it eat with both mouths?)

Hmm. Interesting.
Yes, he does have a funny personality. He’s slightly messed up tho. Like, weirdly morbid and also cheerful in a odd mix.

Sypher
“Super powers?” He frowned, his eyes falling to the desk in front of him. Tiny water droplets crowded together giving the wood a bubbled, speckledy look. Syph shooed them away.
“Super powers. I like that, but…” His brother’s voice, angry and scared, echoed from a not distant enough memory. “No, I’m a water Sprite.…[Read more]

I would say have at least one continuing conflict through the series like how in The Penderwicks on Gardam Street, (my favorite), they have the Save Daddy Plan, or in the 1st Vanderbeekers book…[Read more]

He’s gonna die.
Yeah… it’s kinda hard to kill what’s already dead. And even if you try, the dead don’t like it very much.

There is a note on the wall, tacked on by a garden spade cover in potato guts. The note reads, “Long live the Lord of the Squirrels. Down with the Queen of the Ducks”

how difficult is it to learn the game?
Not terribly difficult. The main thing that you have to learn is how to improvise well since only the DM knows the story.
how far can a person make up lore for DnD, on top of whatever campaign setting they use? For example, I was reading about warlocks and it didn’t give a list of patrons, so I a…
