I almost think of character traits as plot points, so I’m still rearranging these thoughts in my head. XD

Well, it’s more like Pilgrim enters a new status quo because he’s moving to the main location in the story.
He’s outwardly calm and present for his dad. His dad is immature and might spiral without somebody to stick by him. So that paints Pilgrim in a good light even if it’s hurting him.

Give him something (or someone) he cares so much about that he would risk anxious situations to protect/keep/help. It could be something simple like a pet kitten or his father’s pocket watch, or something more complex like a best friend.
I already have that! Perhaps I have made some better-than-bad choices!
What is a cause he’d be wil…

@loopylin
I’ll rp later! I have to write a thesis abstract, and in terms of creative writing, I’m hyperfixated on a project. -

It’s hilarious how the majority of fanfictions devolve into some form of mental or physical torture

🤣🤣🤣
Okay, he’s like that because his dad has always been very intense about making the right decisions in life, and the character (his name is Pilgrim) has developed a very hyperfixated way of making sure he doesn’t put himself out there.
I think what makes Pilgrim tolerable as a character is that he is very calm visibly, and…[Read more]

My protagonist is often anxious, and he anticipates the worst in a situation. I want him to be likable though. Any thoughts?
Many YA novels have unhappy, anxious protagonists, and while I realize they’re realistic, a part of me recoils because they would be so unfun to hang out with in real life.
I think he might have a quiet, more positive…[Read more]

I find it really funny that whenever I want something quick to read, there’s always a new scene posted on here. XD
I highly suggest you first begin to prepare by seeking out a queen fit to rule alongside you and produce an heir.
Bro has a schedule, hehe. Do royal homework, get wife, produce baby.
So I can spend my time that…

The fireman’s carry imo is harder than piggyback. I don’t care what they say.

You know story research just got real when you’re contemplating carrying your sister as many times up and down the street as you can, to test the strength vs weight in an escape scene

Is there a trope you don’t see very often that you love?
This isn’t exactly a rare trope, but I still don’t see it all the time. I love love love it when a character has secret traits/struggles/experiences, and other characters don’t know it. But it’s not just something like ‘he’s secretly sweet’ or ‘secretly cool.’ It’s a whole layer of unique…[Read more] -

Popping on to work for a while, starting at :15. I have a headache from sickness recovery, but hopefully I can write without having to look at the screen of my computer.

Thanks, dude! I’m using a classical painting for color reference and it’s going surprisingly well. (In a simplified kind of way.)

Aiming for @loopylin ‘s questions first until I can think about the other ones. XD
What’s one place you’ve never been to, but have always wanted to visit?
“There is an abandoned boat on an island north of our shores. My cousin told me it was a sad place, and he never recommended the location to our steamboat tours. Probably because it was out of…[Read more]
