BAhaha XD
I think it’s safe to say this is a weird place and there can be weird random objects scattered within. Maybe that says something about the labyrinth masters, not so much the piano itself.

Lucille
“You’ve…” Lucy trailed off, brow furrowing. She clacked her fingers over the keys and tried to play a folk song, but only knew a few seconds of it.

Lucille
“Dunno why they’d put a piano in here. I wonder who they are.” Lucy couldn’t tell if they had returned to ground level – after taking the door that led into earth – or if they were in the labyrinth’s basement. The floor had sloped slightly as they walked, sometimes up and sometimes down. Even here, her internal compass was…[Read more]

That was lovely. Your descriptions are so pretty, and it’s such a tight piece of short fiction. Hopefully you don’t regret posting it anymore because we appreciated reading it.

Lucy bent her right arm and flexed, her confidence incidentally boosted. “Mm-hm. Good.”
Short reply because I figured Gabriel will lead us on
Yeah, big-sibling little-kid energy but also mentor-follower. Lu doesn’t have siblings either and she’s mentally associating this with adults she knows. If she becomes Barnes again,…[Read more]

Thank you! ♥️ It seems I felt well enough to write something just now, haha. Energy when you’re ill is so inconsistent.

Lucille
The darkness was warm and comfortable in comparison to the outdoors, where they had wandered in the clammy mist for so long. Protector’s blades glowed like light through rose-colored glass. He turned them over in his hands and his hair lit up, twice as red, almost artificial.
His question finally registered. Lucy shrugged. She h…[Read more]

I’ve made this one specially to represent me

I try to stick to the middle ground, but occasionally I forget and it’s the funniest thing ever

Marcel
Marcel wasn’t entirely sure how to lead the group. He had never led a team larger than half a dozen people in this place before. Still, it was only a game and it wasn’t the end of the world if he suggested something wrong.
He rolled his shoulders and crossed his arms…[Read more]

The best way to introduce the characters to each other might be when they sit down to eat. Not talking for an entire feast would be pretty awkward

Moth
Warm, rich scents wafted up the grand staircase. Moth, who had chosen to exit his room and speak to people, found himself caught up in the crowd. Luggage was forgotten; groups dispersed and reappeared in different forms. All boys traveled towards the dining hall.
The dining hall’s carved walls reached the ceiling with…[Read more]

The tower’s door had a warped surface and a handle. Lucy tugged. When that didn’t work, she slipped both her arms through the handle and put her feet on the frame for leverage. She was young, but she was a warden’s daughter, and she would force this if her life depended on it.
Her arms whitened, fit to break from the press…[Read more]

Of course! And I understand hating your own writing. I was looking at my old roleplays a bit ago and they hurt my brain.
Also, I really, really love your descriptions.
Thank you! I’ve been trying to describe things thoroughly even though it’s tedious at times. Cuz afterwards I’m glad to have done it.

That is perhaps the most iconic side character focused entry I have seen in a roleplay. That was needed. I appreciate your thoughtful addition.

To my fellow roleplayers, I am sick today and need a break from KP. Will update some threads when I feel better!

Lucy did not run without the Protector. She grabbed his arm and yanked him forward, pointing. “No – Th-that way!”
The tower had an opening at the base – a scuffed metal lid. She hadn’t noticed it before and now it was far from them both. But the crows’ shadows grew around them and the Protector surely couldn’t fight them off. He…[Read more]

Why did you choose to write about your main character?
This is as complicated as it sounds! Characters are multi-faceted and ever-changing, so when faced with this question, it might be hard to answer. Do you write about them because you relate to them, carry a message through them, or simply enjoy their unique existence? It’s different for…[Read more]
