I like that idea! A few things that came to mind that might give you some ideas of how to start it:
- The story begins at the family get-together; I think showing the tension of the family relationships right at the start will give you an opportunity to then dive in and explore the causes of those tensions throughout the novel. However,…

What’s your story about? I write contemporary too, so if you still need any ideas I might be able to help brainstorm.

If you’re thinking of adding a character to the RP, you should add a female character… Our girls are outnumbered and it’s hard to have a formal dance with mostly boys lol.

Yeah and it would be easy to bring back guy characters because they could just get new actors… Their voices would have changed anyway. The female roles would be a little harder, though.
But this would be a really fun RP idea… Everyone chooses an old character and we bring them all back as adults!

Yeah honestly, I don’t think it’s such a bad thing to be a goody-two-shoes either. I used to be super picky with some things though, and even now I still have different standards for things than most youth, but I don’t judge other people for making different choices anymore like I used to.
It’s been a little while since I…[Read more]

I’ve been wanting to ask this and keep forgetting… so here we are, finally:
Which Odyssey character would you be, or which one is the most like you?
I would be one of the oldies… Lucy Cunningham-Shultz. She’s a newspaper editor, for starters, and I was a newspaper editor when I was in public school, too. As I was reading…[Read more]

Ok I have a confession to make.
I had no idea it was called cotton-eyed Joe.
I’ve literally been confused about the name for probably seven or eight years.
I always thought it was “catnai” joe or something like that lol.
I don’t know how, I guess I never saw it in writing before….
It’s kind of embarrassing that I didn’t…[Read more]

This is totally out of the norm for anything Victorian era but what if they did some group dances?

Trailblazer replied to the topic Character Party! in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year, 1 month ago
If we’re going for anything similar to a Victorian ball, then I think the guys are expected to dance with different girls, but since we’re trying to put characters from multiple eras in the same room idk how this should work.

I just wasn’t sure how to get a masquerade ball started, which was why I didn’t RP since the dressing room, but once it kicks off I’ll try to jump in.

@savannah_grace2009 @freedomwriter76
I’m trying to remember what we previously discussed… if my memory is correct, had we decided that Mr. Baumann and Mr. Thurman would try to arrange a marriage between Hans and Adeline, but neither Adeline nor Hans want to marry each other? That would work well if Hans is interested in Anna, and Adeline has…[Read more]

It’s pretty easy to join in this one! You might want to read through the previous RP’s to get an idea of what’s happening, and then introduce your family.

I think we should have an Odyssey rant chat, whether that’s the general one or a new one, but keeping this one for the RP is probably fine.

There are so many good ones I don’t know how to choose…. But here’s a handful.
