YES!!! Literally same, besides Legolas of course (XD)
That’s awesome!!! That’s cool that you’re branching out into the mystery genre too! I’ve been following along with your Know the Novel thingamajiger and ohmygoodness Black Cat just looks SO COOL!
I gotta say the characters. Especially writing their voices and character arcs.…[Read more]

There were probably more, but I’ve forgotten them😅. Anyway, I absolutely love reading, and I devour new books anytime I can get them.
You sound like my older siblings. XD

That is a long list, and many of which I have never heard of. 🙂
I have a friend that loves the Mark of the Lion series, but I haven’t read it yet.
Happy New Year!

Thanks! It will be fun to try, at least. 🙂
I know! It’s so funny. I’m looking forward to yours too.

@avacoulter That font looks like a broken Tron font! So cool! (Sorry, Tron Legacy is just one of my favorite movies ever….)
@trahia-the-minstrel @jodi-maile I imagine my stories as movies ALL THE TIME, even [especially?] if they’re fanfics. Because I often think up credits scenes, I sometimes even make cast lists based off of which actors…[Read more]

Thanks! 🙂
Of course! Oh that’s really cool! That would super cool to be able to draw maps for your own worlds and stuff!
Thank you!! *grins* I like yours as well!
Heh, I literally do the same thing! Oh that’s awesome! For a while I considered writing for films and such, but I decided to just stick to…[Read more]

Haha no, definitely not weird!! I love thinking of my stories as a movie, which is kind of similar. I’ve actually taken some directing/filmmaking classes online because of this…but that might also just be because I love movies and visual storytelling XD

Wow, I’m also late to this XD
Holiday stuff, ya know…
Those covers are gorgeous! I especially liked the second one! The details are awesome, and I love the titles! That’s so cool that you can draw like that too. I mostly just use Canva for my graphics/covers, and even that is pretty difficult (for me anyways) XD

@trahia-the-minstrel I’m so late!! My notifications haven’t been working on KP, apparently…
I love your covers! The compositions are great and the details are so cool! It’s super hard making a good cover…I don’t have any for my WIPs at the moment but when I do I’ll put them up here. This is such a cool idea and space to share our covers! 🙂

@trahia-the-minstrel (and everyone else) Those look so cool!
Sadly, I haven’t done cover art for Into The Forbidden Cavern yet…. But at some point I will! Maybe once I start actually writing it.

OooOooOooo, everyone’s covers are intriguing….
Ah, Eirtan…I guess Yartas might not be the only other country in the brother-nations. 😉
S. isn’t in there, but Amichai is. 😉
I’ve been thinking a good route might be making the cover look like an old leather bound book with images embossed (like a Shepherd’s crook,…[Read more]

Yes, I decided to go with A.D. Kidwell for my pen name… it’s an abbreviated version of my real name, but it was suggested and sounded much better than my original pen-name Dawn Robin.
Your drafts are a great start!

Wow! You spent a lot of time drawing those. Good job! The second one in particular is well done. The human eye tends to like threes.
I would recommend having your characters in the second cover that are wearing armor to also wear helmets (or at least holding helmets). The helmet isn’t used very often in movies or pictures…[Read more]

Thanks!
The colors in the second seem to fit with the word Ice, but so does the first in a darker way. The first might have better placement for English speakers. (Our eyes tend to start at the top left corner of a page). What is the general theme of your book, if it doesn’t spoil anything?
Good, that’s what…[Read more]

Wow, both of those are so good! I love the style! I already want to read your book just by looking at the cover. I like the expressions on the faces of the characters. It makes it look way more interesting. The titles are great too. That’s all the feedback I have. I think just add some color to those pictures, and they’re…[Read more]

I really love your cover art! I hope we’ll get to see it once it’s polished. Are you doing a duology?
Your collage looks great!
I’ve been toying around with cover ideas for my WIP on Canva as well.

That makes sense. I think it will too, once everything’s filled out.
That would be a fun workshop! I know it takes a lot of work to get all that right in any type if art. But it’s so rewarding…
I’ll have to put it on here as soon as it’s done. Thank you for sharing yours!

Wow! Those are amazing. The layout is intriguing, and I think it’s awesome that you’re doing your own cover art! I want to do mine as well, but first I have to sort out my plot. (And settle on what layout, media, even characters to use) 😉
Anyway, those are astounding. Also, for a rough sketch, the top girl in the second…[Read more]

Good layout. I would move the Prince of Walfklau scroll up to the top of the page (if that could be done without blocking any of the cover details. Then again, I don’t know.) Otherwise I think those look great! The sense of distance and plains is right as far as I can tell. I like the depth, with your angles lining up. Um,…[Read more]
