Well. That was sad.
Poor Amber… and poor Ron. 😢
So was Nathan one of the rebels? And did 210’s explanation mean that the government is on to them? I wasn’t sure if I was reading that right.

Asking for prayers for myself and my family. My brother’s leaving for college on Friday. 🥺 My parents will drive him down then and the rest of us siblings will stay with my grandparents over the weekend. I’m trying to be excited for him, and I genuinely am, but I’m also going to miss him a lot. He’ll be all the way in Florida (we live in Ohio), so…[Read more]

Good chapters. Nice touch of action towards the end! And that was a good cliffhanger. 😬

I don’t know. If you can’t find it anywhere else….ask AI and tell it to cite its sources. Then you can just read the sources instead of whatever baloney ChatGPT spits out XD

doesn’t make any sense.
Essentially, I’m saying I don’t believe it is right not to help the Jews, but I don’t believe it would be right to do those things to protect them either. So I can trust in God to provide a way of escape where I don’t have to do any of those things to protect the Jews.
Does that make sense?
But yeah, I can s…[Read more]

Really, I don’t mind if you don’t want to talk about it, I just thought you wanted to.

I understand what you’re saying about personal conviction. I believe God is still with you anyway.
I’m trying to respectfully discuss the conviction itself, since you have argued the rebellion in Ellette’s book is a problem. You challenged the morality. You already put morality on the table. Thus, I was under the assum…[Read more]

All right. I won’t push it any further on my end, as I don’t want to turn this into a point of division. But yeah, I probably won’t read your second book, as I would be too distracted by this issue. Thank you for understanding and respecting my position.
As an aside, it might be interesting if you added a character like me to…[Read more]

With all that said, I still am trying to figure out all that I believe and why I believe it on these issues. This is also why I want to hear what you have to say for your side, to see if I should maybe reconsider my side, as I am doing with passifism. And maybe in exchange, I can give you a few things to think about…[Read more]

As for the church leaving… they did. They left the city, but there is no place to run to, and while they did go underground, there is still the fact that 1. the will be discovered, it’s only a matter of time, and 2. evil is running rampant and unchecked.
Okay, that makes sense.

Is a POV blind spot bad?
Nah, not really. Depends on how you handle it. Females are 50% of the population and many of them must be firstborns. We know very little about them. It’s a world building thing, and you’ve had to choose where to spend your effort, so it’s not surprising you haven’t included them.
If you wanted to, all…[Read more]

Random thought/note. I recently made a list of every character of mine… at least, that I could think of. I want to draw them all eventually. 🤤✍🏼 I have 606 characters. 400 are male and 206 are female.

Yeah, it’s pretty cool!
And if you don’t enjoy rock, that’s fine. Sometimes certain genres bothers a person and they don’t know why. It’s just a fact of their life. Many country songs rub me off the wrong way, and I don’t know why. 🤷♀️
You might have to explain what that thing is though XD.
Synesthesia? That’s where a person has de…[Read more]

I do like how in this book, we’re getting to see the perspective of one of the soldiers.
True.
It is also true, I forgot. We only have one female character so far. Other than what I call “extras.” And she isn’t from the city, so we have a POV blind spot, so to speak.
