Plus, one of my beta readers is a YouTuber
That’s something I’ve never heard before XD
It’s also going to be very interesting because she is a self-professed therian, but is already a fan of my art and Baron (she literally made fanart of him)
Nor have I heard that. You’ve found a diverse pool of beta readers.
I’ve been on KP for over two yea…

I’m gonna wait for Keilah to rp
👍
Yes. I have two confirmed beta readers at the moment, plus a friend who I’m going to ask, and someone who I have to double check with (because they are not Christian, and they said they would be okay reading it, but I want to make sure. I really don’t want them to feel forced into something.)
Nice. How long…[Read more]

Oh wow! Are these beta readers for Baron Chronicles? I didn’t know you were that far along in the editing process.
Lucille
The foliage was so thick that they sat in relative comfort underneath it. It was like standing under the awning of a shop. The wood creaked up and down, like a oak and glass door, opening and shutting under…[Read more]

History fact of the week: George Washington spent over 17,000 dollars in today’s money on beer to celebrate signing the Constitution. God bless America. 😂

Lucille
None of that sounded like a definite answer, so Lucy shrugged. She was just as interested in becoming a secretary, anyway.
A clap of thunder rumbled in the distance. Bugs chirped louder as if getting their last voices in before something louder arrived. Gabriel and Lucy sped up, jogging over leaf piles and patches of heather.

Because she’s a diva? 🤣
Lucille
For a while, neither of them had anything to say. Lucy slipped the leather cover onto the hatchet, and they moved on, the tree’s fallen leaves trailing behind them. While they had spent time there, a darker mass of clouds had approached on the horizon and the wind howled somewhere above their heads.
“Do you…[Read more] -

Broooo I just realized you and Rumi from K-Pop Demon Hunters would get along
Lucille
“You save their butts from dying and they hate you because of irregularly distributed pigmentation? These people sound stupid. Chihuahua brains. You should ditch them.”

I figured something like that lol
Lucille
“Huh. Okay.” She threw the hatchet again and succeeded. “Why don’t you tell your – uh – friends what you’re really doing?”

Lucille
Lucy pulled the hatchet out of the tree. Her cheeks glowed red from the effort and her arms felt good from the exercise. She cradled the head in one hand and the handle in the other, striding back to Gabriel.
She didn’t smile very much, not doing so on the best of days, but gave him all of her eyes’ attention. “Is Isabella your sweetheart?”

Lucille
“Bet they wanted you because you’d win.”
She stepped forward, gray eyes focused sharply on the tree, and the hatchet sunk into the bark.

Lucille
It soon became obvious that Lucy had less trouble using her own strength than quelling it. Every time she threw the hatchet, she overshot and sent it zinging back over the stoned ground.
But aiming seemed like a more important thing to get right, and after a couple tries, she remembered to pause and focus on the tree. She hit the…[Read more]

Throwing axes is pretty fun, I’ve done it a couple times
Lucille
The hatchet was smooth and solid in Lucy’s hand, curved to fit her grip. She tested its weight before nodding to Gabriel and pulling her arm back.
With surprising force, she whipped it at the tree. With a metallic clang, the hatchet ricocheted off the stone wall behind. The…[Read more]

Marcel
Marcel narrowly dodged. A boy, the wind-controller from the previous period, had already taken to the air. It made sense to place the flying students in opposition to each other. “Celarent! You don’t want me to follow you up there, do you?”

My brother: *Listening to a song with the lyrics ‘I just can’t run away’* “Actually you can, girl. I’d run away if I were you.”
Me: “No you couldn’t.”
Brother: “Why not?”
Me: *Looks pointedly at his disabled legs* 😁
Brother: *Bursts into laughter*

Thank you. The performance went okay. I remembered all the choreography, but I didn’t perform as well as I could have, which is about as good as I could have hoped for feeling like this. I feel a little better now and I’m hoping the cold will be gone soon. The dizziness usually lingers annoyingly long.

I wish I’d thought of that when my grandma was in the hospital, but it was summer, so we were all barefoot anyway. My siblings and I were riding the elevators up and down. They were the fun kind where you could see out of the window.

Lucy handed him the hatchet. She also rolled up her sleeves so they wouldn’t get in the way. “Are we gonna chop wood?”
