It’s going very well (though it’s rather emotionally exhausting). I’m picking out a few common themes that most of the readers have said need working on, as well as a few things that only a few people have highlighted. The general consensus is that Justice is an immature brat (which I tend to agree with) and that Chessy is rather…[Read more]

Sorry, my computer ran out of battery, but I’m back again!
Yes, I definitely base characters on people! Usually not purposefully though. I usually just realise, oh! So and so is a lot like so and so.
But I love when those disclaimers are in historical fiction novels, where the characters sometimes are real people.

Maybe authors should start putting disclaimers in the front of their books:
We do not condone the behaviours of any character that seems slightly antagonistic, and nor we do take any responsibility for any of their evil deeds.
I know, poor Curt didn’t deserve anything that I forced him to endure.
Yes, it’s such an entertaining way…[Read more]

People don’t actually expect us to take responsibility for our bad characters, do they?
Well, of course Curt did none of those things. Because he was a small angel. He definitely fell into the disabled angelic character trope that I see so many people complaining about 😛

Unless you become ruthless. Like me 😛
Haha no. But he might as well be, down to the fact that he’s Irish and has an accent. But he’s a character from a very old book of mine (and don’t even bother asking to read it, because. Nope. No chance. No one is ever reading that thing).

Poor Bathshua. She doesn’t deserve any of the things you throw at her (ah, look at me. Such a hypocrite!)
I’m currently reading over a really long and old character sheet I filled out for a character so completely perfect that I cringe now. I’m supposed to be taking the questions and filling out the sheet for another character…[Read more]

It’s two o’clock, so I guess it is afternoon. And yep, I’m free for a bit. How are you? How’s Bathshua going?

I think I ended up watching all of it, but over several weeks and not in chronological order 😛 I know, we’ve discussed Dirk Bogarde before 🙂
Yep, I look forward to watching it properly.

Thank you! I am indeed. And guess what? My mum managed to track down a copy of the 1958 version of A Tale of Two Cities, which I hadn’t been able to find anywhere. I was pretty excited about that.

@rochellaine Sorry for my late response! It’s my birthday today, so I probably won’t be around 😀 I might find some time this afternoon though.

If you’ve made comments on the actual doc, then yes please put your name on it and send it back. If you haven’t made comments, on it then you don’t need to send it back 🙂 Yep, definitely! I’ll be looking forward to it 😀

Yeah, they’ve got special laws in place now, because shops were selling things super cheaply (think 90% off sorta things) and people were actually getting crushed and killed.
That’s just…bad.
Nope, this is an attempt at writing a historical/fantasy sort of thing.
I am planning a contemporary short story/novella though, for a competition.

Maybe we’re just less excited about sales? We tend to have sales at Valentines, Australia Day, Easter, Christmas and Boxing Day (otherwise known as the sale in which people literally die).
Though I’ve heard about Black Friday and that doesn’t sound like a walk in the park either.
I gave up on that. Instead I’m working on rewriting…[Read more]

We have Labour Day here, but it’s not till October, and people only like it because it’s a long weekend 😛 We certainly don’t have special sales, as it seems you do in American.
Yes I did have a really good time! No, we haven’t really talked since then 😀
