@daeus, I’m so glad things are better now. Serious disagreements with your parents are so hard, for both parties involved, but resolutions are wonderful! Praise the LORD! 🙂
@bluejay, I’m glad you’re better. 🙂
@perfectfifths, stormy days are my favourites too. 🙂 -

I’m a little late on this, and I wasn’t tagged, but hopefully no one will mind if I butt in…
I personally don’t read books if they have any swearing or bad language in them. Sometimes a war novel, with soldiers, will have words that, although they aren’t swear words or using God’s name in vain, I would never use (And I’m pretty sure none of you…[Read more] -

@Daeus Hm…it might. Wouldn’t hurt to try and see, at any rate. 😀 And the silver sword between would make a nice divider.

@Daeus I like the one with the gold title better, but if it could have a little darker sheen that would be great. 😀 The sheen on the silver title’s darker and shadowy-er and so shivery mysterious feeling, but like Rolena said, the gold stands out better.

@Daeus those changes seriously helped it look more historical fictiony. It’s great.
I like the second one better, with the gleam on the words.
I think it might look better though if the gold was a little darker, whether you put it for the title or the subtitle, or with or without a gleam. It looks pretty similar to the silver. -

@S-G-Dewey
Well, I’m late. But welcome all the same! Great to have you on board. 🙂
Fourteen siblings?! Wow. Four siblings seems like a lot to me; I can’t even imagine having that many. 😉 But, yes, I know what you mean about siblings being fun and annoying… 😛
Yup, I’m a Narnia and Middle Earth nerd, too. I think a lot of people here are.…[Read more] -

This. Sounds. So. Cool. I will need to check with my mom (she’s the master planner, after all), but I really hope I can come!!! -

@aratrea @daeus
Wow, this is SO cool! You KP staffers are pretty creative. 😉 Unfortunately, with school and everything, I don’t think I’ll be able to participate in the beta-reading portion of the process. I’m so bummed, though, because it sounds like an amazing opportunity! However, I’m the type of person who wants to say “yes” to…[Read more] -

@Daeus Neato. I really liked Sworn to Vengeance too, but I know what you’re saying.
Dire Recompense is sure nicely original.

@Daeus I meant the whole cover, though if you lighten that up you might have to lighten him up a little too. I love his outfit though, and I don’t think the stern look is bad, unless he’s not a very hard character. (I got the impression he was. 😉 )
And I think changing the scarlet font would help a lot. I guess, red and black…that color combo…[Read more] -

@Daeus I think it could be a little less dark; the over all color. Edwin is supposed to look a tad shady though, isn’t he?
But the over all black impression does make it seem a little…modernish and murderish? It makes it look less like a Dickensy historical fiction to me, but that’s what I get the impression it’s supposed to be more like.
Maybe…[Read more] -

@Ethryndal I like Silver Flame. 🙂

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic A Name For Rodyn in the forum Characters 9 years, 8 months ago
@Ethryndal I love The Silver Spark; I think The Spark of Dimwood (not the Dimwood—less cluttered sounding) is good too. Ooh, I actually think that’d be my favorite—The Spark of Dimwood.
I’m so glad you like Rody. Those sound like incredibly sweet/funny uses of the nickname by all those friends. 😀

I haven’t seen the movie in a while, so I don’t remember that much of the plot. XD I just remember that they strayed from the books and that always makes me mad. 😛 And yes about Klaus not having glasses! That was SO annoying. Which is your favorite book in the series? -
