I’m currently in the throes of washing up (😝 ), but I’m sure I’ll end up back here eventually.

I guess I’m a bit of a Grinch, to be honest 😛 Six weeks is a long time.
No, we don’t really do Santa Claus, though my dad used to have a work party where there’d be a guy dressed up as Santa and he’d give us presents 😀
I’m not entirely sure what constitutes a hilarious Australian commercial, but it sounds fascinating 😛

I’m sorry to disagree, but yes, they are annoying. I’m fairly sure there are only eight Christmas songs in existence and…they’re repetitive.
There are very few Australian Christmas songs, and songs about sleds do not really make sense in summer.
Maybe that is part of my prejudice against them.

I see, 😀 We’ve got a few shift workers in our church and we have two services (both on Sunday though) for that purpose.
Bye for now 😀

It was pretty discouraging to keep going with it, honestly, so I’m kinda happy to be starting again 😛
Yes, I’m prepping for Christmas, to my chagrin. (that sounds dramatic). My overexuberant brothers and sister have already put up the Christmas tree and mum’s making us do lists…
And every time I walk into a shopping centre,…[Read more]

@valtmy Is there a particular reason you have Saturday services? Is it a denominational or cultural thing, or is it just practical?
so yeah, I was busy Sunday and then I was up in Sydney all day yesterday, so I didn’t really get anything done then.

I need to go too 🙂
I’m not sure whether I’ll be on tomorrow or not, since I’ll be at church and may end up doing other things as well, we’ll see.
Bye for now

A lot of people said that they wanted more descriptions of the settings, in particular. They had trouble visualizing what they looked like.
I think so 🙂 but of course I can always be surprised.

Ah, no…I was still thinking about abrupt endings. Apparently the conversation had moved on 😛
Me too, as my astute betas have continually pointed out. I obviously need to work on it as well 😀
😛 I can always use a good dose of humility. I can get a bit up myself on occasions.

I could just be imagining things, but that’s the impression I had 🙂
Yep, I understand. I think it helps keep us humble and reminds us that we really aren’t as great as we think we are 😉

I don’t think I literally meant mid sentence, but I didn’t have the sense that it was complete. I guess that can be dealt with next draft though.
That’s really disappointing. I’ve had that a few times so far and its also very frustrating 😣

Essentially. Though I’m going for a much more detailed outline which will help me write more quickly. In fact, I think most of my writing issues this month were because of the outline that I wrote, so I’m hoping solidifying some of the character goals and making the plot more streamline will help it go faster.
Yay!
(But did P2 finish? I…[Read more]

I did have a listen to it, I haven’t finished though. I like the sound 🙂
And I’ve heard of Mary Poppins returns. Not really sure how good it will be though!
Hello! I’ve got good news and bad news.
Good news is that Wattle Fire is halfway done
Bad news is that I’m starting again. Completely rewriting it 😛

Ah, yes, those are fun. But I agree that it wouldn’t work 😛
He’s golden/whitish, I forget what they call that colour. And no, 😀 she was thinking of Jack and Davy in Newsies.
I tend to prefer big dogs (I’m always scared of hurting little ones 😛 ). I find it really hard to choose a favourite type of dog, but I do like huskies.…[Read more]

Oh, that’s hard. I’m not sure if they would.
We ended up getting him 🙂 he’s a labrador, named Jack ( now my sister wants to get another dog and name him Davy) . We used to have a labrador cross mutt who was lovely but she died some time ago. Mum found a really nice lady (homeschooled, American with a super strong Southern accent)…[Read more]
