That’s cool! What specifically do you do in food service? And that’s probably a good idea to stay with your family. I understand wanting to be close to them, especially because you were gone a while, and like you said, your brother’s graduating soon!

I’m on the other side of the state–I live in Eastern Montana and Lakeside is on the Western side of the state, but we have family up there! I actually drove by the Lakeside YWAM base when I was on a family trip! The Lakeside area is beautiful for sure!

Yes, I’m still in public school! I’m a junior this year! It’s really hard to find motivation to care about schoolwork, though, because compared to what I went through, school seems really pathetic. Like, “why in the world would I care about my math when my mom just died?!” I don’t have a ton of close friends, but things are getting better, and honestly I feel like I’ve started to fit in a little better. I have more friends and even if I don’t feel comfortable talking about how I’m actually doing with them, I have a couple girls in my class that I can just talk to about everyday life, and be silly and crazy with, and it just keeps me going on bad days.

And that’s a really great idea… I love how you’re just chilling haha…it sounds like you’re dealing with a lot less stress than the other adults I know.

ooof, learning boundaries can be so hard! But i’m glad God spoke to you through that, I’m sure it was super impactful! My cousin actually did YWAM last September. She went to Australia and then Uganda! Where did you go for that?

That’s so cool! Do you think you’ll do missions full time, or was it more of just a good experience that taught you a lot? Do you know what you want to do now that you’re home?

What was one of the impactful things God taught you?

This past year has been very difficult for me but also very impactful as well. I don’t know how much you’ve stalked KP so you may have seen this already, but I lost my mom to cancer back in November. It’s been so hard. My mom wasn’t perfect, but she was my best friend and a wonderful person. She loved the Lord so much, and I will miss her forever. I haven’t written my novel for forever , but this weekend I’ve been getting back into it! I’ve been able to empathize with my characters on a whole new level, and it’s given me a fresh perspective. A couple months ago I wondered if I’d ever write again, and now I’m doing it! One word at a time, lol

I have no idea if I’ll ever finish a novel, and honestly I don’t really care haha. It’s just fun to create something and tell a story, even if no one ever reads it. For the first time it feels like I’m writing for ME, and it’s so freeing!!

Yes, I love being able to look back, and just read through what I was feeling. Writing is so healing.

And believe it or not, as personal as those things I posted seemed, I didn’t share everything I wrote…there are some things that I don’t know if I’ll ever let people read. I’m surprised anyone read my little journal thingy at all…it means a lot that you guys all care about what I have to say! Thank you for reading it Whaley <3 and for being here for me!

Yeah I don’t like her newest song either….but i like ‘idk”, “Liar”, and “Love Who I Am” and I also like “Still Afraid”.

And I also LOVE Claire Leslie but yeah I agree with you, sometimes the tunes get annoying after a while

My favorite songs by her are “Legacy” “Twenty-Something” and “Scared”. She just reminds me of last summer because I went through a phase of listening to her a ton during the summer
