Hey guys, a friend of mine passed away this morning. She was born with medical issues and has been in and out of hospitals her entire life. Praise God she was a believer and so no longer feel pain, but it is still very hard on her family. So please keep her family in your prayers, she was only 12.

I think its too early to really tell about Nes. He does sound like he might be important, or at least a recurring character, from the amount of information you put in about him, so I definitely think you could expand him. I suppose it’s really up to you to decide since I don’t know what you have planned for your plot. The whole proverbs thing is a potentially interesting quirk that can be a good source of wit and levity (not that your story is a comedy).

No, me either. And my father has bad grammar, but I love him so I read his essays. 😛 I think I’m just holding back from contemporary because, as a general rule, there’s less opportunity for physical torture of characters. Still, I’d love to see if I can write a book without killing anyone.

I am not sure if I am remembering this correctly but from what I learnt in my bible study, whether the names are Jewish or Greek can indicate the person’s background and origin. So I guess you should look at what type of name your MC’s family, given who they are as people, would give her.

I’m not sure whether the Jews back then were called by their Greek names, or whether because the Bible was written in Greek whether they were translated into Greek when it was written. You’d have to do more research on that 😀 I like researching though, do you like research? I assume you do.

I won’t pretend to like the name Bathshua either, but I don’t really know any Bible names, except for the obvious ones like Phoebe, Priscilla, etc. But they’re Greek names, and Bathshua sounds Hebrew, so I can’t really suggest anything.

Oops sorry! I didn’t know that. Where I’m from that word is considered pretty tame so it is used sometimes even when people share their testimonies (“I went from one **** situation to another…”). 😅
