@emma-flournoy: Well, if you’re ever in a real funk and need major inspiration, just search for violinists on YouTube. Some of my favourites are Lindsey Stirling, Taylor Davis and Taryn Harbridge. They do a lot of Lord of the Rings and other movie soundtrack covers.

@rolena-hatfield: Hey, thanks for the welcome! 😀
Oh, okay. I was just amazed to see a forum with no activity for a year. XD
I do read a bit, although probably not as much as I should. 😛 I don’t think have a specific favorite book, but I’m currently reading P.G. Wodehouse at the moment, and I enjoy his books.
Baking and singing! 😀 I like…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy: No, it didn’t feel old (it looked it, simply because the design was slightly different) It felt amazing! It had a beautiful, deep, warm sound. When he was offering someone to play it, I thought he was talking to my teacher, but then he handed it to me. I want to say “No” our of pure nervousness, but how often do you get to play a…[Read more]

As for violin, I have been taking lessons by the best teacher ever! (She’s actually from the States) We do it in her home (now, not at first) and we all have such a good time we usually go over half an hour. She’s picky, especially about me playing loud, but I…[Read more] -

@dragonsnapper Yes, indeed you are! And I have a feeling I’ll find modern fiction challenging, too, at first. I mainly write fantasy and make my own worlds. And no, I haven’t read Brotherband. What’s it about?
By the way, does anyone know if it’s possible to share stories somewhere on this site, like uploading documents or something??? :O

Aussies pronounce “Ant” with a “aay” sound, but “Aunt” with an “auh” sound (actually, I’m more prone to pronounce it like “Ant” – my Dad is American, so I have two influences there) There’s your grammar lesson for the day (night) XD
I haven’t actually read or watched Les Mis (I wasn’t even aware is was a book, but I probably should have guessed…[Read more]

@greta Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are the second American I have come across so far in my New Adventures on Social Media (Slack and KP 😛 ) to say how you like different Australian spellings – and there are a LOT of them! Shall I list some examples? 😛 😀
