Barnes
Barnes bent down and picked Cassius back up with a steady arm. She almost criticized the damp patch on his shirt from the wet earth, but thought better of it. “I’m not like your brother. It’s hard to explain.”
She avoided the three questions he had asked. The answers had not formed into words yet, and even then, they…[Read more]

I’m glad you’re able to recognize it’s different, bc it really is but it’s still so much more understanding than most people have.
And I’m fine with you drawing the line between our perspectives because mine doesn’t have the same physical pain at all. I mean, I do have some physical problems developing which perhaps cause anxiety, but that’s…[Read more]

It’s really good to know somebody gets at least some of what I’m going through <3
I definitely understand from my perspective as a loved one of the sick person.
There is nothing more frustrating than thinking there is improvement, and backtracking for what seems like a ridiculous or small reason. Small things in the diet, or…[Read more]

Kind of a quote thing here. My school group signs huge posters with graduates’ names on them, and my friend wrote this. In the dark blue:

If I remember correctly, I wrote back on her poster, ‘give me the time and place and I’ll bring the matches.’
Fun times. :]

My mum has complained about how doctors used to constantly tell her she was crazy and imagining things, which also led to self-image issues because they discriminated against her weight gain. I’m sorry you’re going through similar problems. Please update when you want, I want to listen too. <3<3

Even now, his voice dropped that older, measured tone, sounding more like the voice of a boy who only became a man but a year ago. ”
As quickly as it had started, it ended. The Protector cleared his throat, and the old tone returned, immediately making him sound much older.
Lol that’s what your other character does, the one in the Castle R…[Read more]

*Stares at the cat* Who am I kidding, animals aren’t me forte, either. XD The poses are so fun!! The colors are nice and consistent which makes me think they are siblings or at least belong in the same close social group. The girl’s hair has a fun shape. Well done!

Barnes
That was one way of naming. Barnes brushed off her shoulder pad as she marched onward, her brisk pace unbothered by the uprooted path underfoot.
“I am Barnes, the… well, private aficionado doesn’t cut it.” She walked quietly for a while before speaking more. “I am the lover.”

Oh, and eating spaghetti (or attempting to) when you hand can’t even grip the fork right without hurting a lot is quite the experience. Do not recommend.
Oh nooo XD

Barnes
Barnes stared down her nose at the young man. When he finished speaking, she reached out her hand. “You have a ladybug on your shirt.”
Before he could reply, she picked off the bug and held it in the palm of her hand. It was brilliantly deep in color, just like the rest of the labyrinth. The only time she could rem…[Read more]

I probably should have given a little bio.
Name: Lucille Barnes
Description: A young woman (older than twenty, nearing thirty) with grayish blond hair and a tall build, at least six feet tall. She has a fair amount of natural strength. She wears a ruffled cream shirt and maroon jacket and pants. I’ve already mentioned that in what I’ve wro…[Read more]

Barnes
“I don’t not care, if that’s what you’re suggesting,” Barnes said without looking to see who it was. “I’m not a nihilist.”
The walls rustled around them, and Barnes turned her head to scan the smaller hedges.
Some of the maze was smaller and narrower than the rest, like little mini gardens encased in the rest of t…[Read more]

Barnes
Barnes meandered along the edge of the labyrinth. She stood behind the rest of the crowd, almost as if she were part of the background. Her pale skin easily matched some of the stone decorations along the directionless path. That was the only similarity between her and the place.
Home. It felt far away, although logically, Barnes must…[Read more]

What I’m asking is, as readers, did you get anything out of this in this book at this time in this place, or did you just read it more to get over it to the next part of the story?
I agree with Keilah and Linus—I think you should leave it in, but maybe have Julian encourage the believers more by reminding them of their future hope.

@hybridlore Thanks for reaching out. I’m doing pretty good, although these last two weeks of school are driving me crazy lol. How are you?
I’m glad! Yeah, you’re so close!
When do you get off? In two weeks? Interesting, because I think the kids around here get off this week.
I’m doing pretty good too! We just moved a few states over and so we’re still settling in but I’ve been doing pretty good overall. 😊
@hybridlore Man, those kids are lucky lol. My school technically gets off the 6th, when exams finish.
Oh wow, how was the move? That sounds like a lot, I’ll be praying for you and your family.
Oh, gotcha. It was pretty good—we’re still settling in like I said, but it’s been a few weeks and our new neighborhood is pretty nice. It’s a lot busier than we’re used to though.
Thank you!
@hybridlore Your welcome! Well, Hopefully you’ll get used to it soon.
