I figured something like that lol
Lucille
“Huh. Okay.” She threw the hatchet again and succeeded. “Why don’t you tell your – uh – friends what you’re really doing?”

Lucille
Lucy pulled the hatchet out of the tree. Her cheeks glowed red from the effort and her arms felt good from the exercise. She cradled the head in one hand and the handle in the other, striding back to Gabriel.
She didn’t smile very much, not doing so on the best of days, but gave him all of her eyes’ attention. “Is Isabella your sweetheart?”

Lucille
“Bet they wanted you because you’d win.”
She stepped forward, gray eyes focused sharply on the tree, and the hatchet sunk into the bark.

Lucille
It soon became obvious that Lucy had less trouble using her own strength than quelling it. Every time she threw the hatchet, she overshot and sent it zinging back over the stoned ground.
But aiming seemed like a more important thing to get right, and after a couple tries, she remembered to pause and focus on the tree. She hit the…[Read more]

Throwing axes is pretty fun, I’ve done it a couple times
Lucille
The hatchet was smooth and solid in Lucy’s hand, curved to fit her grip. She tested its weight before nodding to Gabriel and pulling her arm back.
With surprising force, she whipped it at the tree. With a metallic clang, the hatchet ricocheted off the stone wall behind. The…[Read more]

Marcel
Marcel narrowly dodged. A boy, the wind-controller from the previous period, had already taken to the air. It made sense to place the flying students in opposition to each other. “Celarent! You don’t want me to follow you up there, do you?”

My brother: *Listening to a song with the lyrics ‘I just can’t run away’* “Actually you can, girl. I’d run away if I were you.”
Me: “No you couldn’t.”
Brother: “Why not?”
Me: *Looks pointedly at his disabled legs* 😁
Brother: *Bursts into laughter*

Lucy handed him the hatchet. She also rolled up her sleeves so they wouldn’t get in the way. “Are we gonna chop wood?”

Gabriel rn 😤😐
Lucille
The key turned into bright green dust in Lucy’s hand, falling from the lock like sand from broken glass.
Despite her choice, she glanced back at her home door. One part of her wanted to sit beside it for hours. But that didn’t matter now, since she couldn’t get in and seeing her parents might make things worse.
She…[Read more]

Lucille
Lucy came to a kneeling position and slipped the key in the lock.
The door creaked open, and mist cascaded over the tiles. The green carpet Lucy had seen through the crack was moss, and sharp gray light poured over their faces. Lucy shivered and shoved her hands in her pockets.
There it was – the labyrinth again. A wall lay ahead…[Read more]

The room has been christened the ‘100 Cupboards room’ I see. 🤣
typing long roleplays on KP with a phone is SO HARD compared to my iPad or my computer.
I can imagine that. My dad hates using his phone to type out stuff. I find my phone easier to work with, though. I think it’s because paragraphs are more columned so they fit on the…[Read more]

“I… might know what a peasant is, and that’s me too.” She waved her hand over a door to make a peephole appear and looked inside. “There’s nothin to make me matter more… except being young. We’re equals, hm? Can’t use the whole key; you’re s’posed to benefit from half.”
Before Gabriel could interject, Lucy pointedly dropped to…[Read more]

Lucille
Gabriel was in many ways a stranger. He came from someplace else, his life was entirely different, and it was impossible to predict his thoughts. But he had fought a monstrous dog and birds, run through thorns, and never once complained or left Lucy for good.
Lucy glanced at the letterbox once more. She imagined in a way she often…[Read more]
