@rae you–
you actually liked it??
wow.
thank you!
three months of my life weren’t wasted writing this!
My only mental note is it was pretty obvious that Spy was Huntresses and Scouts father from the point that Huntress entered his room and saw his stuff.
This is probably a relic of earlier drafts, in which Huntress figured it out while she…[Read more]

You two have some issues with trusting authors. I don’t deserve this at all. What have I ever done to warrant this?! (lol)
I am an author and I don’t trust myself, so there! Lol.
trust me (or don’t haha), we all have done plenty to warrant being very sus of each other. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, or well it kinda is, but is…[Read more]

 even if we’re glad the character didn’t die, it often feels a little artificial.
While I agree with you that maybe killing off Adrian is the best course of action, especially considering this is supposed to be a realistic missionary story, I’ve also seen a story where it’s the opposite: They killed off a character because it…[Read more]

Thanks, it’s not that I feel ashamed, it’s that I feel like I am being self absorbed and selfish just asking for prayer for myself.
No, that’s not wrong. Especially in your situation. How many siblings do you have? Are you the youngest, oldest, or in the middle?
I’ll be praying for you. Is there a name I can refer to you…[Read more]

@whalekeeper In my mind, I see it as:
Protagonist–The main character or character whose arc we’re following. The POV character in a first-person story.
Hero–Subtype of protagonist. Usually someone with a sense of good and evil, a person with moral standards they won’t break unless in an extreme situation, a person worth emulating at least by…[Read more]

Yes, the defeating the prophesy junk is stupid unless there is a very valid reason. For instance, I had a character in a book who was cursed by the gods of his people because of a prophesy, but when he came to Christ he was able to flip that on it’s head and say, “you know what, I was cursed. But so are all of you. We are all cur…

@freed_and_redeemed ugh you’re making me sad now
like in Freedom’s Fire you see him as mostly heartless and cruel, but in all the other books he is more humanized–he has a brother, he has a family, he has reasons for why he did what he did. Not that they were good reasons, mind you, but it means that it upsets you that he went down the path of…[Read more]

pretty much about the entire country is really skewed when it comes to that these days….

@power @ellette-giselle lollll this conversation has me just sitting here on the sidelines watching, I would be eating popcorn but I’m not a huge fan of popcorn, unless it’s popcorn chicken so maybe that’s what I’m eating.

@rae thank you!!
- glad I wasn’t disqualified lol
- confusion in writing is what I’m good at for some reason XD XD
- honestly though, I can see why you think this reads like a chunk of a larger story rather than a short story, cause it kinda is. I wrote it for practice and to maybe one day turn it into a larger storyline, cause that’s how I craft…

@ellette-giselle THAT WAS AWESOME.
I have like zero records of my family history lol. My dad is trying to find some information on his family tree, but there isn’t much to go by. I guess his ancestors didn’t keep a lot of genealogical records.

here you go!
my charries confronting each other on top of a train. Inspired by the hurricane that hit Florida last month; the wind sounds reminded me of what it would be like standing on top of a fast moving vehicle such as a train, so I drew this. Then I wrote a scene for why they were confronting each other, and then I revised it a…[Read more]

@everyone but @rae especially
This….barely counts as the story of a scar, or a short story. LOL.
I had a much better one in mind
but just didn’t have the drive to write it.So I pulled out a scene I had written for practice and added some extras to it, polished it down, etc.So instead of a clear, nicely written short story, you get three…[Read more]
