Thank you for the useful ideas. I like 1, 2, 8, and 9 especially. We can also use the need for food as a motive to get stuck in these situations.
It’s funny that Rallascant is his own separate option
I have generated more ideas to add to your list:
1. Hall of mirrors challenge where the characters have to navigate their way past m…[Read more]

For funsies and to keep the lore consistent
Rallascant
“…I’ll try to help as I can.”
Rallascant’s rabbit ears perked up as he heard the cursed word. Technically, he was there already. Summoned. He was under no obligation to actually show himself. He sniffed at the air and then dug up another dandelion root to nibble on. He watched things unf…[Read more]

Not that we need this at the moment, but here’s some possible future conflict ideas because I’m in a brainstormy mood.
- The group finds Mel’s door back home and they realize it won’t help anyone else get home except her (Mel and Lucy still think they’re from the same world)
- The group finds the giant’s garden
- The basilisk goes hunting again

Mel
Mel stopped trying to hold it in and cried quietly into Lucy’s shoulder. She couldn’t tell if the grown-ups had obeyed Lucy’s command to close their eyes, but she felt comforted by the idea. Lucy squeezed a bit tighter. This was better than stinky crow feathers.
After a couple minutes which felt much longer, her…[Read more] -

It’s probably a good thing that Rallascant doesn’t actually know what guns are

Those are fun!! I like the melancholy look you’re going for with Baron. And funny poses like the last one are the best to draw.

Do any of your characters still have guns? Just curious to know how many guns they carry on their person at all times

Gabriel will figure this out eventually, he’s just not used to being a dad

He’s trying so hard, but he’d feel more comfortable in the middle of a knitting group than here lol.
I’m thinking about adding a character who loves to knit, so this amuses me all the more. He might factually have the option to join a knitting group instead

Were all little girls so confusing? How can you break down and not know why?
Gabriel’s response is just as funny as I thought it would be lol

Lucille
Lucy sometimes found herself making fists, pinching herself, breathing quickly, or screaming – without any control. Without knowing why. As if feelings blew through her body or pounded on her skull just because they could.
As she saw Mel trying not to cry, something clicked. Her parents sometimes took her aside…[Read more]

Huntress
Mel hid her face in her hands, looking very stressed.
Sniper appeared tense, as if he thought it was his fault she were upset. He stood up and backed away as Gabriel asked Mel what was wrong, leaping up to sit on a rock and watch where he couldn’t interfere.
I sat down next to him. “I don’t think she’s…[Read more]

@keilah-h I’m so sorry she’s not paying attention. I love reading the backstory/worldbuilding stuff, but Mel is a very tired and overwhelmed neurodivergent seven year old who doesn’t know what to do atm. She would find it so cool any other time. @whalekeeper @rae I promise I’m not trying to write a dramatic scene, lol. She’s just a tired kid.…[Read more]

Sniper
She asked if my scales gave me powers, then trailed off tryin’ to pronounce my species’ name.
My tail flicked worriedly as I realized I’d made her start snifflin’. Gabriel tried his best to comfort her.
I kneeled down on the other side of her and curled my tail close to my legs, makin’ myself smaller and hopefully less…[Read more]
