@dragon-snapper I don’t have a dog because I have cats. Three of ’em. And putting a mutt in a moggie home is a death sentence. Two of them don’t always get along superbly as it is 😉 XD I like dogs well enough – I do prefer cats. But I know a few sweet pooches who I absolutely adore, and if we had a pup, I’m sure I’d love it because it would be…[Read more]

@perfectififths I suspected someone would find that loophole.
*silently blessed @daeus forever because he hasn’t let Dragon Snapper be moderator*
What if I ripped one tiny corner of your manuscript? Would that send you into a panic attack? Or would you methodically rip each corner so they all match.

@perfectfifths *gasp* You don’t have woodpeckers or dogs! Noooooo!!!! 😛 Why don’t you have a dog? Do you not like them??? Or something else?
@anne-of-lothlorien You are lucky that @daeus is a moderator, because I would melt you now if it weren’t for the king. Still, I cannot answer that question. I would rather melt the document myself that have…[Read more] -

@anne-of-lothlorien I will see what I can do, but one thing I have found with these legends is that they are very testy, and very hard to write in each request. 😀 But I will see what I can do. *glances down at you* Erm. You can rise now. I know I’m Ruler of the World and all…but hey. Kneeling for weeks at a time can get tiring. 😀

@anne-of-lothlorien :O You evil person! 😛
Actually, I will say chewed by my dog, because, guess what? I don’t have one! :A Mawhahahaha! Loophole! 😉

I shall remain here on bended knee, @dragon-snapper the Magnicicent, until the next part is relinquished to us for perusal. Also, *plasters on cute puppy dog face and speaks in an adorable voice* Think I could have a tiny part in the next section?

@dragon-snapper @perfectfifths *evil grin* That’s why I posed this question, little ones, because I suspect many of the people on here are perfectionists. I myself am not, and can easily answer this question… coffee spill. Though with me it’d be more likely to be a cocoa spill.

I was going to make the point that @mark-kamibaya did; I don’t think listening to that music would be wrong, but you should be willing to give it up if it would cause another person to stumble.

So, @aratrea, I showed my two year old brother the picture of you Keepers at the fountain in Philadelphia, and he pointed to you and said, “Oh, look he’s sneaking! Is he a bad guy?”

@mark-kamibaya, @jane-maree Yes, I agree. There is the association that, say, someone who watched the show and then stopped might have. Such a person probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy the music as music. And like @daeus mentioned, that is a case one would honor the ‘weaker brother’. In most cases though, as a general rule, I agree with what…[Read more]

Well, here it is… I wrote it a while back so it’s not entirely current anymore, but it’s pretty close. 😉
Exile is a terrible thing.
But Harold chose it.
There are many things about his destiny he doesn’t understand. Why he, a prince, should have been accursed with a strange gift that left him a monster in the eyes of the world and d… -

@GracieGirl those are adorable! I love the watch— how long did it take you to do all that detail? 😛
@Mariposa Uncharted. 🙂 I have a sort of blurb thing for it if you want… though I’m really bad at blurbs, just warning you. 😛

@dragon-snapper No offence to Americans, but most of you don’t 😉 Which is fine, because it’s not what you know, which is why Aussie like me have to educate you on it 😀
I just find it very interesting what these two different countries know and experience. Since I have an American dad and an Australian mum, I grew up learning about stuff from…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper I edited 922 words. Glad you feel ready to write now.
I asked about how you were doing characterization because it seemed that maybe you weren’t getting to writing because the characterization was taking too long. If you don’t mind, I thought I’d share my characterization process, not because it’s the right way to do things, but…[Read more]

@daeus I’m signing out now. I didn’t get much done, except now I feel like I can’t write….*ugh* 😛
Good luck! -
Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #6 in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 2 months ago
@daeus Well, I found that character charts didn’t really work for me…so I’m just trying to figure these guys out by interviews…which is getting old fast…I think I’ll try backstories.
You see….I can’t stand doing the characterization. *bows head* It is my weakness. -
Daeus replied to the topic Writers' Corner #6 in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 2 months ago
@dragon-snapper Great.
Now, I’m curious. I can’t really chat until I’m done writing, but I’m wondering what you’re doing for characterization. Are you writing up backstories or filling out character question charts?

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #6 in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 2 months ago
@daeus I haven’t written prose in so long it hurts. I’m here, even if I am just characterizing. *sigh*
