Glad to be of help.
It’s a really cool premise. Just keep on working away at it. Even when you have writer’s block and don’t want to sit down at the computer just grab a notebook and begin making diagrams about stuff! Character relationships, plot formation, character journeys, the list is endless (well mine is). Again, welcome to KP and I hope…[Read more]

This is already an old topic, but I’ll speak out my opinion.
Vampires and zombies are associated with satanic evil stuff. So we shouldn’t write about them. You can use the idea of some undead person but using actual vampires and zombies have a bad connotation. And remember that to others watching their connotation trumps your motivation

Hey Natalie,
First off . . . yup! This is an opinion. Now to the fun part:
What does the Bible contain? Let’s see . . .
Violence? Check!
Sex? Check!
Language? (Despite what some people think) Check!Huh. Amazing right? So if the Bible is God’s Word then that must mean that God thinks it is okay for us to read that kind of stuff so that we can…[Read more]

Yo, Tatiana. Welcome to Kingdom Pen!
First, I really can’t believe that name. It’s awesome. If it’s actually a real name. Even more awesome!
Second, It’d be cool if you shared the plot to your dystopian. I really like Divergent and I’d like to (what is it called) critique it? If you don’t like that idea than maybe just share the “elevator…[Read more]

I write sci-fi, but more realistic kind. Like how Captain America is sci-fi. So basically I don’t know that much, but I do have opinions.
Science fiction has to be plausible in that world. Make the audience believe the extraordinary is ordinary. Sci-fi is cool when you make the audience believe in the unreal. That’s basically for every story,…[Read more]

Mark Kamibaya replied to the topic Character "deaths" in the forum General Writing Discussions 10 years, 8 months ago
Yeah, so this is all personal opinion. I think that there needs to be foreshadowing that they will die. I mean you could make it surprising, but based on the mass opinion on currently famous tv series (you know what ones I’m talking about) there’s a fifty/fifty chance that people will either be shocked and then hate or just hate while forgetting…[Read more]

Mark Kamibaya replied to the topic Villains in the forum General Writing Discussions 10 years, 8 months ago
A perfect villain is the foil of the protagonist, is the hero of his own story, and has perfectly justifiable reasons in his own eyes. Think of it as what the hero might become if he fell.
I think an awesome, biblical way to add this to our own stories is to make the villains motives the same as the world. Because to the world the villains…[Read more]

Kudos to that! I’d choose both too. However, sometimes (unfortunately) it’s one or the other. But, yeah, you’re right about the acquaintance thing.

Agape love is actually much harder than eros. Why have eros when you can have agape? Abused wives do not have eros, but they can have agape. Strive for the best.

Hey ya’ll.
I put love at first sight in quotation marks! So I don’t believe in it. However, actually upon reading Sarah’s comment I realized that technically true love at first sight is possible It’s not a feeling it’s a choice. And the Bible tells you to love your enemies. So . . . 🙂
And as somebody said: “Love is sacrificing self for somebody…[Read more] -
