Just to clarify, I think that Chase having that flaw makes him a good and realistic character. I’m not critiquing his flaw, I’m critiquing that it’s being shown as a virtue.

My only critique would be the use of the word “alright”. It’s not technically a word. The correct term would be all right. I’m sorry, but that word just drives me insane. My forum signature is ridiculously accurate right now.

I went to place a hold on this book and my library doesn’t have it. I will try to get it on interlibrary loan, but sometimes those take a while. Ideally it will come in time that I can read it.

Aww, I loved it!!

The only thing I’d recommend is to really deepen Chase’s pov, especially after he gives up his sight. Because it still felt like he could see with the way things were described. I think if you describe it in the way in which Chase was experiencing it, then it will have a much bigger impact.

Other than that it was good! (:

I drew some ducks on the back of my bulletin in church today. They aren’t great art, but I think they’re cute. Summer theme.
