@lydia-s There’s one book series I really loved called the Lost Island of Tamarind by Nadia Aguiar and it has some great sibling relationships, as well as really creative world building in general. I really loved it, although personally I’d rate it pg-13 for violence (and I think a d-word) but it wasn’t too bad. (If you’ve ever watched Lord of the…[Read more]

@lydia-s GIRL sameeeee. That’s the good stuff right there XD I absolutely love it. I try to include good sibling relationships into my books because it’s so rare in fiction sadly ;-;

I feel ya!! It’s hard to make time for writing, especially when other time-consuming things outrank it in priority (spiritual life, relationships, school, health, etc.).
Yesss, it’s so hard to navigate! For some reason or another, Google Maps will not cooperate with me once I get about 50 or so feet underground. After that, I just fol…[Read more]

@lydia-s Nice, nice! I’m quite in love with Steinbeck and Dostoyvesky, throw in some Ray Bradbury and Dickens here and there, and there are so many more titles I’ve been meaning to read. Your literature program sounds fun! I’ve been meaning to take one at some point, haha.

HELLO MY KEEEEEPERS!!! SO! I am currently drafting Project Garden as you know, and I have discovered that I am seriously Pantsing it. Like…legit. I’ve got ideas and obviously some plot and storyline but it’s just like…writing whatever comes which is honestly hard most of the time and easy sometimes. SO WEIRD!
ANYWAY!! I’m wondering how…[Read more]

You were extremely helpful!!! 😀
They really can be overwhelming! To be honest, I haven’t written for a week or so now 😬Â 😱 Life just got crazy!
Oooh, I totally get that. Sometimes a project has to be put off until you’re ready for it.
(hey, how close are you to China? I miscalculated and landed in Australia… again… but the…[Read more]

Yes, Mr. Brocklehurst is absolutely horrible. I often wish I could shake some sense into a character, but it is very rare that I mentally strangle them. The way he twisted Scripture made me furious, not to mention his other crimes. Ugh!

*Calms down*
Anyway…
As for your question,…[Read more]

I am so sorry, I almost forgot KP (of no fault of it’s own; life is still nuts).
I have read/listened to all but Lady Susan, Love and Friendship, and I think one other one. I read Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sense ability, and Mansfield Park. I listened to most of those and Emma, Northanger Abbey, and… I think that’s…[Read more]

I have read/ listened to Jane Eyre. I enjoyed it and thought it was deeply intriguing and surprisingly sweet. Although in full confession, I didn’t really want Jane to marry Rochester. XD
But the end was satisfactory.
Helen is the absolute best! The worst character was that secretary of the school. I despised him.

Yep, it should be fun ;P
YES, that’s so true!!! My biggest struggle (well, one of them) in writing is gradually becoming more and more afraid of my WIP until I can’t even touch it. I dream big, then suddenly get overwhelmed with my vision for the project. So your advice does not go amiss with me! I reall…[Read more]

I’ve read Jane Eyre, I own both the actual book and the manga classic edition. I enjoy the story lots! Jane is a great character, and her relationship with Mr. Rochester is so sweet … and I loved the part at the start with her and Helen, as well. Made me quite sad/touched when I first read it.
St. John kinda annoys me, tho…[Read more]

@lydia-s Well, I was impressed with how tough he was, even knowing that he was going to die. I was like, “That would’ve killed anyone else!” but not Helmer.

Okay, y’all, so I recently finished my YA fantasy novel.
*cues the high-pitched screams*
But my next project is a middle-grade novel featuring a 12-year-old MC who gets herself into all sorts of scrapes.
The problem is, I’m not naturally a humorous writer. It’s something I’m trying to work on in this story, true, but a very not funny writer…[Read more]
