@whalekeeper If you do want to write for Hugo, he could be Felicity’s lab partner if you want, or maybe there’s an odd number of people in the class and so the teacher has all three boys work together or something

Lois
Lois slipped the note into his pocket and looked around the classroom. Most of his classmates faces were unfamiliar. He didn’t have much energy at the moment to introduce himself to someone new, and pairing up with Felicity was an almost guaranteed bad grade.
Viktor shifted uneasily in his seat next to Lois. “I guess we should find partners. If you want to, I can…”
“Sure. We can be partners.”
Viktor seemed a bit surprised. Lois began putting his books away and getting ready for the experiment. He didn’t mind leaving Hugo to fend for himself with finding a partner. He seemed social enough. After clearing off the desk, he leaned back in his chair and sipped on his hot chocolate.
Beakers and safety glasses were passed around the classroom as the students all chatted excitedly.
“Admittedly,” Lois said, looking at Viktor out of the corner of his eye, “I’m not the best at science, so I may need a bit of help. Are you any good?”

I made myself sad at work today because I was thinking about killing off characters and then I started thinking about how not writing your characters in the first place is kinda a form of killing them because they never got a chance to live in the first place and now I’m really sad but also weirdly motivated to get some writing done.
