Guys why am I writing a sci-fi I find world building so boring

I need help naming a spaceship in my story. It’s my main characters’s ship and I’m getting a bit tired of just calling it “the ship”. It’s a really old, tiny ship that is basically the scifi equivalent of a rusty old camper. It belonged to the main characters’ father before they took it and ran away. Any ideas?

Do you guys actually picture your characters’ faces in your minds while you write them to the point where you could recognize them if you met them irl? Because I have no idea how to do that. Reading everyone’s answers to this question is really fun. I should post answers for my own characters sometime soon.

But, in the meantime, a second question: How long would your character survive the zombie apocalypse?

Their story is inspired by Chinese fantasy… so… ancient China… mixed with elements of, like, Japan and Korea… and my own crazy fascinations.

That sounds really cool!

I just finished reading a Brandon Sanderson book that was partially based off of Japan and ancient Korea and I really liked that style of world building.

@esther-c Characters still attend class and do normal stuff when their authors aren’t writing for them. They just fade into the background, not freeze in place, lol. Unless you want to write that they were doing something else that whole time.
