What? How does that happen?
I love your new profile picture!!! Did you draw that?

Oh, then yes, and no.
Yeah, I am still considering which time periods I should choose from! And fort the very important question, I have already started working on her origin! I was thinking maybe that she had a test or a choice that was like a choice from God, and she was given the curse of immortality or something like that!…[Read more]

I say go for it! The memory loss thing is good, and the fact that he tries to join the Kunulfs. It separates it from WF. Plus, Andrew Peterson pulled a Beauty and the Beast to begin with. There’s not a romance, but trust me, there are plenty of similarities. And beauty and the beast pulled from the Bible. (see Daniel) so…. I…[Read more]

I thought is was the same color as your pfp with the girl and the bookshelf. So a lighter medium brown.
Yes, a new culture.
Gak! Everyone is driving me nuts with all this pfp and name changing. I don’t know who anyone is anymore! *sob*

Agh… Having read this, I am completely divided. And I mean seriously divided, which doesn’t happen to me often when giving an opinion.
If Eric pulled a Kalmar, I honestly think the comparisons to Wingfeather wouldn’t stop. There are already similarities in lore, and while there are differences, Featherheads are probably g…[Read more]

Book 3 time!
*throws confetti everywhere*
So it’s Leon and Julian then. (Unless you suddenly decide you want to switch to Quin for the next chapter.)
Nope. It’s Leon and Julian. Two of my favorite characters I’ve ever written.
War? War. Boat! Wolves! Snow. Orphans…
No orphans. Well, I mean I’m sure there are orphans som…[Read more]

Just a heads up, for anyone who has not read previous warnings….. the series takes a rather dark turn from here, because of the culture my characters are stepping into. I’m not going to have darkness to be dark, violence to be violent, etc. But darkness an…[Read more]

Last I counted I was at 69 full length novel drafts.
Yeah, I do four drafts, then share, then do more.
It’s how I write so fast. Most people I know do the steps of draft 1-4 while they are writing, which tends to slow them down and cause them to lose interest.

However, one this is one thing I know of that does help me. I find that something that motivates me is having people share it with me and give me some thoughts right away.
My first draft, as it is, is very undecipherable. However I am comfortable sharing things with my little sister and I’ll keep this in mind.
 Keep in mind…

Hello all, how’s everyone doing?
Recently, while writing my first draft for my WIP, I have been struggling with scenes actually connecting to each other and running in a smooth way that makes sense. Additionally, I feel like I’m forcing my characters to do something without actually letting them decide and let their decisions have consequences.…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint Awesome cover! And Ellette is right–most drawing programs I know allow you to add a picture to your canvas and trace over it. I’ve done it lots of times.
