Here’s the next section.
Time passed, and for a while things seemed normal. Aaron, Noah, and Darrien worked odd jobs here and there, scraping just enough coins together to pay for the needs of each day. However, that was soon to change.
“Aaron! Play with us!” begged Joseph.
“I haven’t got time,” replied Aaro…

Wow… I know it is the job of authors to torcher their readers, but that is mean.
Oh, you have no idea what I’m capable of.
Yes, this is what I would like to see earlier. This shows a sense of longing.
Got it. Will go through and add.

I get the feeling that a lot of eldests are writers. In fact, I’ve only met one girl who was a writer and wasn’t an oldest sibling.

Here’s the next section.
In the following days, Aaron let go of all hopes of returning home. He accepted the reality that this was his new home, and would be a place he would never leave. He committed his father and sister to the Lord, trusting Him to watch over and protect them.
It was hard, but Aaron…

Would you have been angry with him if he did leave her? lol.
I almost wrote a fake scene where he did, just to see how you would react. But I didn’t have time. XD
Hmm, I’ll think about that. I think that Aaron always had it in the back of his mind that this is temperary and he will go home. Only, now he can’t.
Did it not…[Read more]

I love love love it when characters come together of their own accord! It just makes it so much easier to write about their relationship. I mean, it’s not completely necessary to the story, but it can offer a really great subplot to root for.

Yes, I am the eldest. Sigh.
Yes, the role model thing is hard, especially because I always get worse punishments, even when the crime was the same. Even when I wasn’t the instigator. It’s fun sometimes though, because I did teach one of my sisters to love ducks too.
Don’t even get me started on the i…

Sorry it took a pretty minute.
On his bed, Aaron sat and with his head in his hands, unsure of how to even begin. Voices raced through his mind. “God has given you means of escape!”… “Aaron you can leave! You’re free!”… “Love calls for sacrifice Aaron,”… “But what if someone were to go to them and live among them, help…

Yeah, the eldest sister thing does kind of suck sometimes. Especially when I mess up over a long period of time (I’m looking at you, twelve year old Stephie) and I’m afraid it’ll rub off on them. And the imitation thing.
Don’t even get me started on the imitation.
BUT I’m the one who’s going to get my own room after the…[Read more]

btw, you asked for song ideas for your character playlist.
here are some that I collected while listening to my playlists. I haven’t got a lot, but they were just ideas. If you like them then great! If not, that’s fine. I’ll send more if I think of any, if you want me to. If not, no worries. Just let me know.
