Don’t have the boys be eaten unless you want to deal with a traumatized Martha. A girl doesn’t watch her friends get swallowed by stone dragons and continue on perfectly fine.
What if there was some sort of earthquake? I believe Martha was on Alan’s horse a bit before? If she’s still on it and there’s an earthquake or something…[Read more]

Overarching Theme. […] What are your thoughts?
This looks good. I’ll note, I feel a bit of a blur between books. (You’re still in the outlining phase so that’s fine.) It’s great that you have his story divided into three areas of growth, but because they’re very similar when it comes to the actions Alan has to take, you need…[Read more]

Who is James? (I think I want him to be someone who is laid back and jokes around a lot, but occasionally has a moment where he shows surprising wisdom.
oh. That’s not at all how I pictured him.
idk if this is a good idea, but I pictured him as quieter and much more thoughtful. Someone who is constantly watching and l…[Read more]

It looks good to me! (But I’m not a huge outliner as previously stated.)
so, does this mean you’re gonna start posting chapters?! 😃

Thanks for the article! Unfortunately I’m not very good at fight scenes either, so I won’t be much help. 🙁

good work!!
wait… your hand cramps from writing? Mine never did that. I thought it was a myth.
but I also thought unions burning peoples eyes was a myth until my friend and I were cooking stir fry and she started tearing up really bad while cutting them. 🤣

oh my goodness. She’s a horrible mother. 😂
(and I feel bad for laughing)
I was actually thinking about the magic. It seems to be thought based. Like yours. At first it seems emotion based, but then when I rewatched “let it go” to see if I was right, it seems more thought based. Whatever it is, we aren’t told how she’s c…[Read more]

I had a feeling I needed to hear this. Thank you for the advice, I really do need to listen to it. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so it’s going to be hard to post stuff as it is, but thank you again.
Linus is 💯 correct. Plus, the more you pause the more you lose your flow. For me, I turn off autocorrect and gra…

Do you ever have that problem?
Oh yeah, all the time. I’d say to write it down anyway, because there is always some reason why you had the idea in the first place.
Every idea has a nugget of interest behind it, and if you feel some appeal despite knowing it won’t work, write it down. Then think about why it appealed to you…[Read more]

hey, weird question. I was thinking about your magic system……
have you ever seen Frozen?
(I wouldn’t recommend the movie, but I have seen it before and I was thinking about something in reference to it.) -

Could you expand more on what you mane by that, please?
I like to write down every idea I have so that I don’t have to contain everything in my head and forget it. So, the opposite of Ellette. (Why are we always the opposite? Why??)
I organize the ideas by topic (plot, worldbuilding, etc) very deliberately. I’m trying to…[Read more]

I found a round about way to get access!! (Don’t ask)
anyways!! I am really liking this!!
a few notes:
Everette (I think) asks if Sara knows who Jesus was. Now, unless you have a very different theology than I do, I believe it’s who Jesus “is” not “was”.
Also, unless I missed something, the last we had with Cole was his screen…[Read more]

My “outlining” consists of writing random notes all over the margins of my paper as I write and forgetting about them. One thing I’ve thought about, and may try, is writing every plot idea I have on sticky notes, and then organizing them onto a wall.

IS THAT ALAN ABD MARTHA!!?!? *excited dance*
umm…. I don’t do that. Like, at all. I just go for it after hitting beginning, climax, and end. And fully graphing characters. I sketch out the characters. 🤷🏼♀️
I mean, I treat writing as me telling you what happened to my friends. I saw the events, here they are. If I do too muc…[Read more]

Great, thanks!! Yeah, I was trying to come up with something for the studying that would be interesting, but I’m not sure if I’ll change it next draft. I wanted to make something weird happen with the testing – the no answer changes being one of the first things I came up with – but I don’t know if it makes sense with the tests…[Read more]
