The Wilderking Trilogy by Jonathan Rogers is an allegorical story on the life of David, with some twists thrown in. (And a completely different world.) It’s got some great humor in it! I would recommend.

I think murderer could work as long as he said Like murderer, or almost was a murderer. If you want him to say something that he is, he could think of himself as a monster or wild beast. Or, since he is trying to be the hero, an interesting flip would be to have him decide, “I’m not the hero, I’m the villain.” That would flow…[Read more]

I had no idea he was no longer human.

No, no, I totally agree with the sin thing. There is no “little sin”.

I like the idea of him having life lasting consequences. It’s going to really hurt for him to have to tell her they can’t have kids because of what he did, and to know his choices are causing her grief.
