Hmm. It just seemed odd. I mean, Rolf is clearly needing a break. Roland is married…….
Yeah, we’ll run into a couple friends again.
Plus, I did want to focus on Leon and Julian a bit more. I feel like they are starting to drift a little bit. With Leon struggling physically, and Julian having trouble with what’s…[Read more]

Yes, it is.
Really?! That’s so cool!
This is the version of that psalm set to music that I always loved.
We also have another Psalm 13 hymn in our church too. I like this version best though. It just really gets the feel right.
So they are headed back now. I guess…

aha. That makes sense….
And it works. Joseph’s main struggle is dread, and so that book played more off of the dread factor. I wanted you to feel his hopelessness. This is different, so it’s good that it came across different.
Also, I believe you were the one who mentioned Phillip’s section seeming a little out of place.…[Read more]

I have to say, this was probably one of the most exciting sections I’ve ever read in this series.
Wow. This has always been a favorite section of mine but, i must know, why did you say that? What makes this one stand out so much?
Not Roland? I know he just got married, but that man loves hunting, and its not like he’s goi…

Oh. You just wait.
He does not get to keep that for long.
I killed Aelic.
Sometimes, it’s nice to keep things simple. Just a few words and normalish clothing.
Honestly though, I love that image.

ugh. KP is grounded for bad behavior.
🤣Question out of curiosity: How do you decide if the journal entries you share should be from either Leon or Julian? Some authors may try to give an even number for both characters, but you seem to have some sort of method for choosing them.
huh. I haven’t really thought about it. Well, I g…[Read more]

I dunno. I like that movie a lot, but it never came to mind while I wrote this scene.
These one sentence time skips aren’t bad, I just have a habit of missing them and then getting confused. Bad habit, that. The whole escape happened so fast and I kept missing things that I had no idea why they were suddenly in the mo…

I don’t need no Literary License.
I think so. It’s still early in the book. You could kill them all off and switch to a different character at this point as the protagansit, but that would be really weird as you have already established Leon and Julian as the protagonists.
hmmm.
