Thank ya kindly! <3 Ooo, cool! I’d say Corvina might be a conflicted character, and Arabella might be a really sweet, friendly personality. Am I right? XD
Girl, I’d totally read this! Totally keep writing… GO GO GO! 😉
Thanks! I know, it’s kinda weird to see the dialogue out of context. But th…[Read more]

@nova21 XD Plenty of adventures to choose from!
I love your lines as well! Dylan sounds like he’d be quite hard to work with.
@writerlexi1216 Felicity sounds like what you described her as. Nice job!
@daisy-torres I’d want to be Catherine’s friend!
@lewilliams I want to meet Horace, like, right now. He sounds so proper.
@elfwing She sounds…[Read more]

@lewilliams tagged me here, so I figured I’d hop by! Sorry I’ve not been very active on KP; life’s been crazy lately. I’m currently burned out, haha, seeing as I finished my first novel in June. I tried doing NaNo this month but I was too burned out and stopped halfway through… hngh… currently trying to do more with the plotsy side of things.…[Read more]

Hahaha! I already love Felicity! 😉
He totally sounds like you described him. If I had to go on an adventure now, I’d want him to be the leader! 😉
Can I hang out with Catherine for a day, please? Just a day? XD
Hahaha! Poor Horace. *cough* dumb teenagers *cough* 🙂

@nova21 Oo, fun! Hard time to find which MC though, haha…
This is for Nan Jinqi, who’s, um, what is he like… He’s quiet and dependable, I think. Quite observant. Hard-working. I don’t know that much about him yet.

2) “It was your stupid machine that crashed and burned, [action tag omitted], And who said I was here to stop you?”

Ooh, interesting! I think that dialogue fits super well for Dylan, especially since the lines are short. That goes well with his strong-willed personality, in my opinion! As for mine… they’re kinda short, so… XD
MC is Felicity, who is (also) strong-willed, stubborn, and tough, though she’s secretly quite caring.
1) “Huh.” (I know,…

The title says it all, folks. I just thought it might be fun to compare what your character says to see if the dialogue truly matches their personality or not.
So I’ll share mine first!
MC is Dylan, who is stubborn, quiet, and strong-willed. A little self-protective. Lmk if his dialogue fits his personality.
1) “Better.” (*rolls eyes…

@writerlexi1216 Ah, yes, the first time I won NaNoWriMo I didn’t write another word for 4 months. Not worth it lol. But since then I’ve built up my writing muscles.
For me I just keep floundering around in water like I’m about to drown. I tell myself I’m gonna keep writing, but in reality it’s so painful I can only get out 100 words a day. But…[Read more]

This is ALL too relatable, Lexi! The way I usually (try) to overcome writer’s block/burnout is picking up a different project. I have *counts Scrivener docs* 25 WIPs from the last 2 yrs. Not that they’re perfect. (Or finished.)
This way really helps me to take a step back and pick a project that I’ve been developing pre…[Read more]

*rubs hands together* Yup, I’m sure there’s been a topic about this already, but I’m starting a new one because I
am totallytoo lazy to searchwanted to ask… how do y’all get over writer’s burnout? *dun dun dun* So after finishing my novel, Last of Her Kind, the author side of me has been feeling super bummed about what I write and I’ve just be…[Read more] -

Oh my goodness, that’s a brilliant idea!!! I may do that, thank you!!! Sometimes even just writing about having writer’s burnout is super helpful, so that’s a great idea! 😀 And *gasps* aww, thank you so much! That seriously warms my heart to the fullest to know you were thrilled about that! *tears up* Oh my gosh, that’s the SWE…[Read more]

@nova21 I like this idea! Unfortunately I never plot out my character arcs so I can’t help you with that. Best of luck, though. I believe one time someone told me that an overarching theme for a series + individual themes for each book is good, so I think that could work the same with arcs. Maybe for the next book focus on something more…[Read more]

*waves* Hullo! Things have been going well, though I haven’t done much writing as of late because I’m pretty sure I’ve hit writer’s burnout *awkward smile*. But I’ve been outlining both Echoes of Destiny, a possible romance novella idea, AND the second book of my series, Last of Her Kind, so that’s been interesting. 😉 I’ve been sk…[Read more]
