Yeah, that would make for some interesting history! Btw, @kyronthearcanin , do the Arcanin also use their mouths, or do they use some other method, like their magic?
@kyronthearcanin If you don’t want to listen to our suggestions over the course of this discussion, you don’t have to! We’re just brainstorming, I guess.
Yep XD

@thearcaneaxiom Fair point. Although this might have not been a current thing–perhaps it happened in the past, and the arcanin quickly settled it….and that helped the felisaro too, even if it wasn’t intended.

Thanks! The issue with that though is it seems already pretty well established that the Felisaro somehow get around this, and are quite advanced. Unless they did take longer to advance, or maybe even piggy backed of from some of the others, but even that would come with a wide set of difficulties, going back again to…[Read more]

@thearcaneaxiom Your point about Dune not having thumbs is interesting, considering the fact that Quelin and Rina apparently have them? @kyronthearcanin Is that a major point in the story? Like maybe the other species used to (or currently) look down on the felisaro because they’re “lesser” or “not as advanced” because they don’t have thumbs.

Ok, I’m so sorry for not responding to this after so long, I just now was able to get around to reading it. It’s really good! I like the cast of characters you got going, and you really seem to be building up on the idea of whether or not Quelin is friend or foe, is that going to turn into a major theme or arc?
A few…[Read more]

@kyronthearcanin You’re welcome! I LOVE your story ideas so far. I’ve had ideas kinda like it but haven’t exactly fleshed them out much.

@kyronthearcanin Wow! That was fun, I can’t wait for more!
I have one thing you could add. It doesn’t actually have to do with this particular chapter but with the layout of the entire book. In series such as Wings of Fire or Warriors, where there are multiple factions of characters battling (dragons and cats respectively) the book opens with an…[Read more]

OOOOO this was twisty!
I second Landri, I also would binge read this XDSo, the fight where Sorren showed up seemed to come out of nowhere.
I’m very curious to see if Quelin shows back up… *eagerly awaits next chapter*

Nice job on your chapter two! (I’m super invested now, by the way. I’d totally already be on chapter fifteen if this was published. XD)
Okay, a couple of things that are jumping out at me on my first read-through…

Hi!
I’m working on my Revolutionary War WIP (I previously posted it if anyone wants a refresher of what it’s about. Check the Idea Poll post from a couple months ago ;)) I’ve started writing it in 3rd person, but I wondered if I should do 1st person. I know all of you don’t write historical fiction, but do you/would you prefer 1st or 3rd person…[Read more]

This is great!! It hits close to home for me; as a nursing student, almost all of my fantasy/sci-fi characters are medics and healers. (I know, I know, strange mashup of reality and fantasy 🙂
First off, I loved your characters and explanations of races/kinds. Everything made sense to me in that regard. Plus, I’m a sucker for…[Read more]

(I was never arguing for complete evolution. God clearly made Humans separate from other animals and on the different days of creation made specific types of creatures.  I am saying that I think it likely that during Noah’s time there were less animals (and that it is possible these were only ancestor animals of stuff around to…[Read more]

( I have not been to Ark Encounter but my grandparents have.
For the question of Noah’s ark (and getting the animals inside), I would personally use evolution to explain it (I feel like evolution gets a bad rap because some people take evolution too far and try to use it to explain away God. If you think about it though it…[Read more]

I like novellas too! I’ve finished two novellas and a novel, so I’m not exactly sure which are my favorite.
I think you have good sense on the sequel debate. I, for one, love sequels, but I really hate BAD sequels, if you know what I mean. Sometimes, you’ve really said everything you need to say about certain characters, and the…[Read more]

Godly I can’t tell if the second part of it means to tell the arcs of the characters other people mention of yours or the ones that you yourself liked…so I’ll do ones that other people mention unless you specify it’s the other cause I got a lot.

Has God not worked through our free will since forever?
Indeed, has not God known everything since eternity past?
Is this not the true art of answer within a question? Is this the true way? Would God not approve such skilled use of questions?
Are questions dangerous in any way? There is a skill and art to everything, but can it…[Read more]

Statements give a solid sense of finality. We shall be the ones to end this. We shall stand strong against the frenetic spiraling of the Inquerists’ question whirlwinds.
We shall be victorious. - Load More
Indeed we will. There is nothing that can stop us.
Ahem? Was I suspected of being part of this side plot, this infringement against the naturally curious?
Am I not already invested deeply in the Who Are We? organization to pull out now?
(ha ha, this is fun! 🙂 )
I tagged people from both sides in declaring my stance.
The naturally curious shall be answered decisively.
Do I not see that you were wise in doing so, because getting both sides of an issue is very worthwhile?
(Yeah it’s just for fun) 🙂
