    Really?
    I’ll definitely read it! 😉

Right, the problem is parents (specifically fathers) are not disciplining their children, but are expecting the church to do it for them. The church should just be supplemental. The church should equip fathers to disciple their children, and reinforce what fathers are teaching. Instead, there’s a disconnect, and fathers aren’t teaching, and youth…[Read more]

    Cool!
No, I haven’t…but I have the book, just haven’t gotten around to reading it!
Is it a good one? ;]

I checked out your blog, and I REALLY liked your latest post (http://contentedseamstress.blogspot.com/2014/01/our-generation-and-church_15.html) and definitely agreed with you. Have you seen the film “Divided”? It talks more about why youth are leaving the church. Here is a link. It’s less than hour long, and pretty…[Read more]

Yeah, I’ve read a few. The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Shadow Children,
and The City of Ember (dystopian-ish), those are all I can think of off the top of my head.

    What about you?

  • Reagan Ramm replied to the topic in the forum Kristian Snow 12 years ago

Awesome! I read and give you feedback when I get the chance!

Hi Hannah! Glad you’re committing to writing and joining the forum! You definitely should post some of your writing in the critiques board!

I’m also curious to know what Kris asked. What do you like to write?

Warning: This excerpt is a tad-bit morbid. Nothing graphic though, at least in my opinion.

Here is part of a chapter of a Dystopian novel I’m working on called “Eventide.” I have a few questions I’d like to get feedback on. I’m still developing the world so some contextual references may change. It’s basically about a society ruled by a…[Read more]

Gosh. I should win some kind of award for longest period of time between replies…

Wow. Yes. That should totally be a show. And the sad thing is, it would probably do really well. XD
But yes. Always have I had this immense void in my soul, this longing ache for… I knew not what. And now that I have discovered my Toothbrush Twin, it aches no…[Read more]

I was thinking, Willow and Regina Vale, and Lewis Parker, for the main characters ;]
    Are you working on anything?

  • replied to the topic in the forum Kristian Snow 12 years, 1 month ago

It’s gonna be a short story, and I was sorta thinking of a mystery, or something…

Reagan!! Long time, no talk. Glad to be here. It is truly inspiring to see how guys are growing.

I wasnt into music much when I was little, but I sang all the time. My dad was the one who practically forced me to play music amd then it just became a passion. I love how you can here all these melodies in your head and be able to make them real…[Read more]

Also, I was pronouncing “NAAFSI” as “NAFF-Sigh” as opposed to “N-A-A-F-S-I” or “NAFF-See”. I personally like the acronym, so if you do decide to keep it, then maybe you could just have a character(s) refer to “NAAFSI” in dialogue as “Naff-Sigh” or “Sigh” or “Naff” or something. Perhaps the lower-case letters or abbreviations would help people get…[Read more]

Wow! I really like this! I like this genre, and the mystery, and the situation (no parents; no friends, being watched and monitored, etc). I also can personally relate to the MC, and she feels real, which is very good.

I was thinking, though, if it might not be better to open the story with the scene where she is talking to her parents. This is…[Read more]
