Not this year. I’d like to, but time is not my own.
Yay!! I’ll be joining YDubs too! Still a KaPeefer at heart, but I do want more professional feedback and stuff seeing how I’d like to publish mainstream.

The years and tides,
The earth, the bare moon,
Death and birth,
The freezing skies, the sun

Are furiously incensed.

The noise of her tears;
They whetted swords. Still

Been relying on psalms for the last few days of chaos, but at last, I’ve made it here to post a favorite poet and couple poems.
The Late Passenger – C. S. Lewis
The sky was low, the sounding rain was falling dense and dark, // And Noah’s sons were standing at the Window of the Ark.
The beasts were in, but Japhet said, ‘I see one creature more…[Read more]

XD Well good! Glad it was helpful. Don’t worry too much over the whole “Gracious but this draft needs so much work” problem. You’ve already put in a ton of work and learned so much just to get to this point in the drafting process. You can do this! It’s worth it. (

And I would like to throw in something that might be totally unrelated to what you’re dealing with, but it was a bit of a shock to me and had me seriously rethinking how I address certain topics in my books.

This is a very good question.
But I suppose it comes down to what the reader sees is going on and what the character sees–and those don’t have to be the same. In this case, shouldn’t be.

Okay, I’ve been thinking about starting a challenge in January to read a poem every day. It’s something I’ve seen elsewhere as a way to help develop smoother, more lyrical prose.
I’m thinking that if you don’t have a good poet on hand for the day, a psalm will do. And there’s no penalty for missing a day, just a challenge to see if you can get in…[Read more]
