@gracie-j Thanks for the recommendation! (I do have a Goodreads, if you ever wonder…not an author one though.)
@kathleenramm Most of my favorites are from all different people, but Naoki Urasawa has been by far one of my most favorite authors. Everything he creates is just an absolute masterpiece… (Highly recommended for older people,…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 I’ve gotten into writing crime recently, so they aren’t really actual mysteries, per se, as I reveal who the culprit is as one of the main characters. However, I think that this bit sounds really interesting! I think you should develop it!
Also, I’ve heard that for mysteries it’s good to have the solution first and then sprinkle…[Read more]

I don’t have many opinions on the Civil War in fiction. I literally don’t think I have ever read a book set in the Civil War? Ever?? Nope, I’m pretty sure I haven’t. However! I do have opinions on the Revolutionary War. My family is English (my grandparents came out to Aus in the late 60s, and my cousins and other family members still…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 Thanks for sharing this! I have no clue what denomination I am, but I 100% agree with this. Thanks for being so outspoken!

@kathleenramm Great idea! Though be warned; my list will probably mostly consist of manga, with a classic book once in a while. Hopefully this might spark up my love for reading again, haha…
@gracie-j Ah, yes. I feel you. I may live up North, but being a second-gen immigrant, I’ve never really felt that strongly about the civil war. However, I…[Read more]

@nova21 I really out of touch with poetry right now, so I can’t really say much, but I liked it a lot!

@gracie-j I thought it was super sad ahh. Every time I flipped the page it just got worse and worse…but it was written really well and I enjoyed it a lot.
Merry Christmas to you as well!

SeekJustice replied to the topic What was the most difficult scene for you to write and why? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years, 4 months ago
That’s quite hard for me to answer! Death scenes are hard for me to write emotionally speaking, especially as someone who has had two very beloved family members die traumatically. It’s just hard for me to treat them as blase as I used to when I was a younger writer and I struggle with them quite a lot.
More mentally though, stupid…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Honestly, every scene I write is difficult once it starts to lag. So then I usually toss in a new character or yet another fight scene, or most of the time, both. But in general, uh, romantic scenes are probably the biggest struggle for me. Which is probably why there has been an extreme lack of romance in everything that I’ve…[Read more]

I’m around too if you ever want to drop me a line 😀 We sound like we’re at pretty similar stages in writing. I started writing when I was ten or eleven but I’ve been writing seriously (for me, that means with the goal of being traditionally published) since I was about sixteen, so almost five years now working towards being…[Read more]

Why The Horse and His Boy?? I am remarkably curious. I didn’t really grow up sheltered at all, so when my more conservative friends (this happens to me in real life just as much as on the internet) say they weren’t able to read/watch certain things I get confused 😀

@godlyfantasy12 Ah I’m not usually on this thread…sorry…but I’m hoping to- (write consistently but I’ve already failed) and finish my current project by the 31st, as well as finish up all of the short ideas I had. As soon as I get this all done…
