Rory
Rory carefully moved so that his back was to the wall. The amount of people was starting to feel dangerous, especially since Rory could sense mots of them would be handy in a fight. He was still trying to get over the fact that strangers greeted each other…[Read more]

This group is kinda big and I’m getting a bit confused. Is it alright if we split up? If no you can ignore this rp
The Twins
The girls crept closer to Leo, getting a bit overwhelmed by all the new people showing up, Ellie especially.
“Hey, Leo,” Ed said, “Wanna show us where the kindergarten classroom is?”

Okay, I’m thinking I’m gonna keep it.
Yes, but oddly enough, when a God-fearing character dies in a story, I’m not usually as sad as I am at other characters’ deaths cause they’re in heaven (even though they don’t exist lol)
SAME!! I totally know what you’re saying!!
I know!! It is so sad! They would have been such a sweet couple.…[Read more]

Yep sort of. I meant guys dressing as girls, or vise versa. So yeah. It’s gross and called some pretty strong names in the Bible.
XD and I love wearing only dresses and skirts.

Okay, here are the questions I had.
Where the characters believable?
Did they have good, individual personalities, or were they clones?
What would you say was the message of the story?
What would you say my world view was?
Was there anything that seemed unbelievable or forced?
Is there anything that you w…[Read more]

yay!! I’m glad you want to read more!!
question: what do you think of the Seven year jump forward ending?were you sad Aaron died?
I love how that soldier–Adrian, I think?–wants to learn more about Aaron’s beliefs after he saw how brave he was before dying.
yes!! That was one of my favorite parts. Aaron’s last prayer was that God would…[Read more]

She sounds fun. XD
I totally recommend looking into girl’s/guy’s different physiological in fighting. It’s pretty interesting if you find a decent source, and I know it’s helped with my characters.

Ok, Y’all. This topic has gone deep. XD Wow. That’s good though. We should really pull apart why we are writing what we are writing. I’m getting a fresh look at my own characters too.
There are many facets to what y’all are saying. I will say first off, that the reversal of the “da…[Read more]

I’m sorry it’s so long. I hope no one is reading this on their phone, because then it would seem REALLY long. There just wasn’t a good place to split this up.
So, picking up where we left off at the end of Aaron’s letter.
My Dear Joseph,
I don’t know how to begin this; It is so hard to say farewell. Dear little o…

I’m learning to animate on Blender and just learned how to rig limbs. The practice object looked kinda like a tail and all I could think about was how much fun I’d have making scenes from my reactor meltdown of a fanfic haha……
Lol that would be fun. Also that’s really cool!
character models to animate with, although I’m thinking of…

I’m moving a discussion I started into this thread. It’s kind of related.
Basically, how far are you willing to disregard gender norms in stories, specifically tropes? For an extreme example, switching a “damsel in distress” for a “man in distress.”

Ellette Giselle replied to the topic WIP: Let There Be Light, Book 1 of The Flames of Hope Trilogy in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 1 year, 10 months ago
Haha! Good to know.
So then, since you said something, does that mean your aren’t happy? Maybe a little stressed?

whaley replied to the topic Fantasy/Modern School AU RP in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year, 10 months ago
I think “damsel in distress” can very easily be messed up because it automatically takes away the damsel’s agency in the situation, usually speaking. But I would love to see situations where it isn’t so biased towards the damsel’s savior – like maybe the damsel holds the emotional weight of the story in her hands, to…[Read more]
