How do I go about starting a novel to finishing it? Hmm. . . Well, I’m pretty new to this, and I’ve never finished a novel before, still trying to figure it out. . . Do you have any advice?

I don’t usually write it down right away. I usually just let it percolate (my favourite word, mainly because its so bizarre) in my head for a while. I’ll either scribble down some incoherent things for my future self to decipher, or I’ll run it around in my brain for a few days or weeks until I feel like I have a coherent idea for me to start developing. And then at some point I start it, leave it for six months, then come back and see where it takes me.

@kathleenramm Of course! I totally get that. I feel like that while there’s clichés in manga, there is also a much different set of stories to explore than the ones we usually see.
