@elfwing I see what you mean by twisting the Bible and spiritual realms and stuff being wrong, but if it weren’t for all the weirdness that sounds like it could’ve been be a really cool series. And the dragonpeople idea is something I’ve had in mind for a long time, although they are a separate species rather than being born from a human…[Read more]

the series Raising Dragons by Bryan Davis
It’s biblical fantasy/sci fi/speculative fiction. It’s strange and twists many things, making Merlin a prophet of God, to name one, then Christians who have passed on from our world turning into little blue orbs ghost things and being guides for living people who are going through spiritual…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I don’t have a least favorite book but there sure are some that I would like to rewrite. Especially the last book in the School For Good and Evil series by Somain Chainani. The first three I liked, the last three were a dumpster fire.
Before One True King came out my sister and I theorised about what was gonna happen and we thought…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Indeed. Hmm, I think it really rather became that later on. I didn’t realize how much writing meant to me until I did it more and more. It used to just be a fun hobby and now.. it’s part of who I am, really.

@kathleenramm Thank you for your lovely introductory post. You have such beautiful reasons to write (I care a lot about the whole understanding one’s self thing, if you can’t tell *points at my forum signature*) Also, I saw that this was the question of the week in the KP newsletter a few days ago and ended up having an hour-long conversation with…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Look at me… digging through old TotW posts again… XD but this was a good topic! I can’t ignore it! 😉
I do a lot of tropes commonly, actually. Hmm. I have quite a few romance subplots, and almost ALL of my main-main characters have an “I-ran-away-from-home” backstory for some reason. Idk why XD but I use that one a lot.…[Read more]

@kathleenramm
This is a good question.
When I first started to write it was a hobby. Lil homeschooled me with lots of free time, energy and creative detrimental “talent”, spilled everything into writing. But now it’s hard to immagine a place without this outlet of creativity. I’ve previously said this, but in rough times, (like @elfwing ) w…[Read more] -

@kathleenramm Why do I write… this is a hard question. So this post will likely be a lengthy thought dump, haha.
First of all, I write to serve God. I am trying to transform my fiction to be as pleasing as possible, because I really want Him to look at it and say “this is good”. I don’t really care if other people love my fiction, I want GOD to…[Read more]

Why do I write? Easy answer, I enjoy it and don’t want a boring job. Therefore, I’m trying to make writing my career.
Okay, here’s a better answer: I constantly get stories ideas, and I don’t want them to just simply stay in my brain. Plus, I’m very creative and writing is a creative outlet.
I’m just still trying to figure out if I…[Read more] -

@kathleenramm I love your answer to the question! I have to say that I write for very much the same reasons haha. And no, your answer wasn’t too long at all!! It was beautiful!!
When I first started writing, it was for school, because I had to. I hated writing though. I used to think it was boring, but then I realised that all of the things I…[Read more]
