@kathleenramm It’s been a while since I’ve read it, so honestly I don’t remember. Probably Phil, haha. You?
@anatra23 A friend introduced me to Rightstuf Anime that has super cheap manga, only thing is after buying from it you’ll be tempted to buy a ton, because people usually buy in bulk from there.

Sorry it took a while to respond. Life…
The original story behind Robin Hood if you read any history is quite different then the young man who is kicked out of his home because he’s loyal to King Richard and who’s madly in love with Maid Marian. But the whole “when he lived”, “what exactly he did”, etc are up to huge debate.…[Read more]

Honestly, I relate to your answer SO much. I am a much more empathetic person because of my writing. I have lived a million lives, so to speak, through stories and I can empathize with other people even if what they are struggling with or going through I’ve never experienced before.
I don’t know if my unexpected benefit from…[Read more]

My friend once asked me what it would take for an anime to top all my others, and become my favorite. I said Avatar the Last Airbender would have to become an anime for that to happen.
Cuz seriously, it’s so beautiful.
Lol, I’ve been trying to find some manga. Where do you typically get them? Online is where…[Read more]

One thing that has took me by surprise with writing was how enormously satisfying it is. You can sit and write something and your work will stay put. There’s a result to show whether terrible or great there’s physical proof of the effort you put into it. You can also come along and change it whenever you like and going back to see…[Read more]

I think my older sister has watched Erased! As for Fullmetal Alchemist, I haven’t actually watched it or read it, but both my older siblings have, and my brother in particular has told me a bit about it. What made him like it so much? Apparently (this is Brotherhood version I’m talking about) it’s just such a well-done story. There…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I would say it has done similar things for me.
I can read people well and figure them out pretty quick, or so I’m told. I evaluate and if someone asked me to describe I can and I’m usually correct. The problem with that, is, among other things, that if I’m not careful I can get cocky, and start thinking I see things that aren’t…[Read more]

thank you for the kind words, Kathleen! John 14 is a wonderful idea. it’s hard to always remember that God is there, but what you said is so true. now that i think about it, songs are the main things that come on and remind me of the truth. “water under the bridge” is what my mom likes to say, when life is hard sometimes. thank…[Read more]

My typing improved! Ok, that isn’t a nice, deep thinking one one, but it’s true. My spelling and typing have improved* immensely.
Also, writing is teaching me to harness* my imagination. Instead of rambling from character sketch to character sketch, I’m learning to brainstorm ideas and create storylines with meaning behind them.…[Read more]

I think the thing that writing taught me was first of all, like you said, how to understand different people and their motivations and how nobody thinks of themselves as a bad guy, but also secondly, how God is looking after us.
Think about it. When we write stories, we put our characters through all kinds of pain and suffering,…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Writing has allowed me to appreciate different forms of story more. While more things may seem mediocre now, I can also truly better appreciate the highest forms of literary art, such as classic lit, as well as extremely well done movies. Yes, being a writer ruins some things because now I can predict the plot. But when I can’t…[Read more]

Yesss! You’ve read Viking Quest too! It’s so good, right? I love it, and it’s always beautiful, no matter how old I get. Just good writing, hands down.😁

I honestly don’t reread very many books if I do it’s because I was REALLY into the books. Those books would be Medallion, Captive Treasure and Pride and Prejudice. And these 5 series: the Chronicles of Narnia, the Hobbit and LOTR, Daughters of the Seven Seas, The River of Time, and Viking Quest. Each of these just gets better and…[Read more]

@kathleenramm hahaha just remembered that XD very true.
When it changed for me was when I really started reading on mythology and history, then seeing how different the cultures are and the myths and legends of each, so it was very jarring to have it all thrown in a world at the same time. I love the humor of his stories and he had an amazing…[Read more]

I honestly can’t think of any examples; I’ve always been particular with my books. As in really particular. When I was 9-ish I stopped reading a book because it used the word stupid twice, something we’re not allowed to say in our house. I’m almost certain my 9-year-old self thought it was as bad as a cuss word.
I do that with…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Ever since I started writing I read much less, and I don’t reread books I read long ago anymore, plus I think we gave a lot of them away. On the rare occasion that I remembered I loved one book as a kid and I would reread it, I usually found it more hilarious than before.
There was one trilogy I really loved called School For Good…[Read more]

Oof, yea, so to tell the truth, I’m usually blinded by childhood nostalgia when I read books that I had read a while ago.
But recently, my sis and I picked up some old and beloved books, and read them again. Just a small series of short stories, novellas, I think. And boy were they predictable. I was informed abt the ending (cuz I…[Read more]
