@kate-flournoy I forgot to tell you that I’ve read your, “victorious,” book, and loved it! I couldn’t put it down!

thanks @kate-flournoy!
And btw, I’ve been meaning to ask you this ever since I saw your profile picture a couple of years ago: where did you get your profile picture? I love it!

I agree with @kate-flournoy here. I was planning on making all of my supporting characters antagonists, and…only three? *deep sigh*
(since I’ve been using my sequel for the past few lessons, I think I’ll keep using it)
1. The protagonist’s mentor. While the protagonist is recklessly pursuing truth, the mentor is warning her (and my dear…[Read more]

@his-instrument @delightinlife @ethryndal @jess @jane-maree @arella-noreen @kate-flournoy Come on, guys! I can’t keep up with you!
Arella–I use roots to make names of cities too! However, the root is so obvious at some points, that I’ll have to switch a few things around at some point so that you root lovers won’t know
firsthand what means…[Read more] -

@Kate-Flournoy Zikers, that is so pretty! I LOVE the little hummingbird!!
@aysia-serene And I love your style! It’s kinda simple, which I try to do every once in a while. Needless to say I never succeed. 😉 Anyway, two thumbs up! -

@dragon-snapper I agree, I have seen lots of different styles and they’re all amazing! I love @aysia-serene‘s drawing! And i-j-anderson is so talented at realism. And @kate-flournoy has a very unique realistic-but-not-quite style 😀

@kate-flournoy Favorite? Oh, where do I begin…
I’m honestly not sure! I have too many “favorites”. And what if I choose one, and the others get offended and run away? What would I do then? (Sorry, I swear I’m not completely crazy…)
@aratrea Of course not! Especially because half the time the character ends up evil or dead…
The main hero…[Read more]

@jenali @dragon-snapper I totally agree! I really like J and L names for heroes. Lately I’ve been noticing that I have a lot of J & L names in my WIP…so I might need to pay a bit more attention to that. 🙂
Meanings of names are also SUPER important to me. I always look up any name I like for a character to see what it means first, because…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy Ah, yes, here we go! This is like the summary you’d find on the back of the book, so I’m sorry if it seems a little cheesy/cliche.
Ashlyn Green’s life changed in a single night. That night, the same night that took her mother’s life, revealed that she was a little more abnormal than she originally thought. She was born with…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy It’s never too late! It’s also nice to see another Texan. Around what area do you live, if I may ask? That is, of course, assuming you still live here.
As for my book, I think that the best explanation I can give is in my reply to Rolena, unless I actually sat down and explained the plot…
Actually, hang on, let me go grab my…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy Your Insanity Jane drawing was great! It was a fun, simplistic cartoony style! 😀
Here’s my version – I tried to do a more realistic style this time, and I think it turned out pretty good 🙂 I didn’t go over in pen and erase like I did before, so it’s a little more sketchy.

@i-j-anderson Hope you likey!

@emma-flournoy @daeus @kate-flournoy @ethryndal @winter-rose I have been writing/trying to write the writing dare that Emma gave me a bit ago. The one about a dragon who melts everything. Well, it’s changed quite a bit from that to the point that Daeus is king, @hope is a Knight, I’m a rogue knight cadet, and so forth. However, I’m stuck. I wrote…[Read more]
