Yeah, I’m a big fan of the classics! I take a pretty intense literature program, so I get to read a lot of them. 🙂 Some of the ones we’ve read this year are Don Quixote, Paradise Lost, Frankenstein (that was quite the book), and Robinson Crusoe. Last year, we did Shakespeare (among other stuff, including The Once and Fut…[Read more]

Um … yeah, that would probably be quite a lot of mental trauma. Enough to give him a pretty severe fear of fire, dogs, and soldiers. Children are very impressionable, and having a memory of those things in a tragedy like that would give him a negative association with all of the above.
I speak from half-experience — I don…[Read more]

I’ve seen the cover of it, and it looks really intriguing! It’s on my to buy and read list😊.
If you like that kind of romantic friends lovers with awkward shy cute boy and oblivious girl thing, you’d probably like Avatar: The Last Airbender. Have you seen it? It’s a really amazing story and kids show — the only downside being all…[Read more]

That’s awesome!!! I’ve only read Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Persuasion. Hopefully, someday I’ll get around to reading her other novels! 😀 (maybe I’ll listen to them… I’d probably get through them all faster that way… lol)

Agh, that makes me so happy!!! So glad I could be helpful. <3333
I know!!! WIPs can feel so overwhelming… I haven’t even gotten beyond daydreaming for my dream project bc I know it’s gonna be big and require a lot of mental maturity I’m not sure I’m ready for yet (Why I do this to myself, I have no idea…) So, yeah, I get it!
(And I…[Read more]

So glad there are other fans out there! *happy sigh* Jane is indeed a ton of fun!
I agree, Jane and Mr. Rochester have a SUPER sweet relationship. (He cracks me up with his snarky comments… Add her spunk into the mix, and oh boy, don’t things get fun! XD) I think my favorite part of the novel if eit…[Read more]

How many sibling duos have I written? Oh boy, here we go …
*rubs hands together while chuckling*
So, I have a pair of fraternal twins in my current WIP, a girl and boy. (The boy is one of my main POVs.) Then I also have a pair of side characters who are brothers — I think they’re some of my favourite to write. Then my other main…[Read more]

Ooo! I love that too! In fact, I have such a duo in my book series … and they’re also estranged brothers. They’re like the two most boss warriors in the land!

You guys like Super Smash Bros too? And Zelda Breath of the Wild?
Yay! I love both those games!
A bunch of different anime too. I recently binged K-On.

I once said something innocently that sounded like something completely else. I probably shouldn’t tell the whole story, but basically I was 13, all my adult siblings were in the room, and I said something that was meant to be encouraging but all of them took it in a more … *ahem* kind of way.
One of my older brothers laughed so har…[Read more]

I love sibling relationships — I’m particularly fond of brother-brother relationships. Which is kinda funny, seeing as how I’m a girl.😂 I did have to two brothers, though, so it’s not like I have no experience in seeing this relationship play out. I also know a lot of brother-brother pairs in my friend group.
But yeah, I really…[Read more]

Trahia the Minstrel replied to the topic How Many Characters Should A Series Have? in the forum Characters 2 years, 9 months ago
It sounds like you’re writing epic fantasy — correct if I’m wrong — but if so having a larger cast isn’t bad. Read Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive series if you want to see a huge cast handled magnificently.
However, I would probably recommend that you keep the number of main protagonists to 3 or at the max 5 — just remember that…[Read more]
